Perform Tower Rescue covers the performance of rescue procedures from an Electricity Supply Industry tower in the workplace.
Perform Tower Rescue specifies the mandatory requirements of transmission. Distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of performing work.
The application of the skills and knowledge description this unit may require a license/registration to practice in the. Workplace subject to registrations for undertaking of electrical work.
Our training is conducted by experienced Emergency Services personnel and Height Safety specialists who have the knowledge and experience to walk you through the requirement to perform tower rescue correctly. We specialise in tailoring to your needs

PUAFER008 - CONFINE SMALL WORKPLACE EMERGENCIES
(FIRE EXTINGUISHER)

Summary:
Our fire extinguisher training courses are Nationally Recognised Training Courses and are taught through the Public Safety Training Package. Fire extinguisher training course will cover how and when to safely operate fire equipment during workplace emergencies. All our Fire Training courses are only conducted by experienced emergency services personnel, who have the knowledge and experience to walk you through the requirements of operating firefighting equipment and fire extinguishers safely. This course has a combination of both theoretical and practical training in how to safely operate fire equipment and how to safely extinguish fires. During this training, we use Live Fire.
The course is composed of five sections:
• Introduction to WHS Act 2012
• Evacuation Procedures
• Hands on use of all Portable Extinguishers
• Introduction to Manual Handling
Course Content:
This course is designed with flexibility, so it can be adapted to cater for special needs of the client.
Topics Include:
• Chemistry of fire
• Fire Extinguisher Legislative and Regulatory Requirements
• Fire Extinguisher Training Requirements
• Raising the alarm
• Fire Safety and Evacuation
• Classes of Fire
• Types of Fire Extinguishers
• Safety procedures when fighting fires
• Basic fire prevention
• Firefighting tactics
• Practical sessions: using Fire Hose Reels, Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets
• A demonstration on the use of portable fire fighting equipment
Delivery:
• 4 hours
Inclusions:
• A4 Certificate
• All training resources (Extinguisher, fire pan etc)

Assessment Methods:
• Multiple choice & written questions
• Practical demonstrations/skills observations
Qualifications:
• Upon successful completion a Certificate will be issued for PUAFER008 – Confine Small Workplace Emergencies.
Re-certification:
Participants are required to re-certify every 2 years from their completion date to maintain currency.
*Please note that enclosed shoes are essential. The practical session can be viewed as physically challenging, therefore participants should be reasonably fit and able to lift and carry fire extinguishers and other safety equipment or chemical spill kits as required.

HLTAID011 – PROVIDE FIRST AID

Course Summary
This course is designed for those people who may be required to provide first aid in a workplace or community setting. This course will give you the skills and knowledge to provide first aid, life support, resuscitation and management of the casualty/casualties.
Please note that it is a requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
Course Content:
• Assessing an emergency situation
• Infection control
• Airway and breathing management, including choking
• Head, chest and abdominal injuries
• Bleeding and burns
• Seizures and shock
• Medical conditions such as epilepsy, cardiac arrest, chest pain, diabetes
• Chest pain and stroke

• Near drowning
• Hyperthermia and hypothermia

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
will be issued to all successful participants.
Recertification:
Participants are required to recertify CPR every 12 months
and Provide first aid every 3 years from their completion date to maintain currency.

Prerequisites:
*Please note that it is a requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.

COURSE SUMMARY
This unit covers the competency required to undertake rescue in confined spaces, as defined in AS 2865-2009 Confined spaces, as a member of a single agency or multi-disciplinary team.
The application of this unit in the workplace covers a range of confined space rescue situations.
The unit is typically performed by personnel from emergency services and/or volunteer organisations or organisations where confined space work is undertaken. This unit is also targeted for those who are working in a mine rescue unit working as part of an Emergency Rescue Team

Course Summary:
This course is designed for educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylaxis emergencies.
This course incorporates the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.
This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
This unit of competency has been approved by ACECQA and meets the requirements of “First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis”.

Course Content:
• Assessing an emergency situation

Participants must be aged 14 years or older

Summary:
This nationally accredited one-day Work Safely at Heights training course is designed for workers who are required to work at heights. If an employer has personnel working where they can fall from one height to another and there is risk of injury, then a provision must be made to prevent falls. Appropriate equipment must be made available and appropriate training must be given under the National Workplace Health and Safety Act and in particular, the National Code Of Practice for Managing Risks of Falls at the Workplace.
This course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge to work safely at heights. This course will enable you to comply with current WHS Legislation. This course covers risk assessment, the right selection and correct use of equipment, rigging and anchor systems, fall restraint, work positioning and fall arrest systems.
Trainees are trained how to correctly select height safety equipment and how to apply it.
Our Training is conducted by experienced Emergency Services personnel, who have the knowledge and experience to walk you through the requirements to operate confined space equipment safely. We specialise in tailoring training scenarios to your workplace needs.
Course Content:
• Training conducted by experienced Height Safety Specialist

PUAWER005 – OPERATE AS PART OF AN EMERGENCY CONTROL
ORGANISATION (FIRE WARDEN)

COURSE SUMMARY
This nationally approved and accredited course will equip your personnel with the skills and knowledge
required to act as a Fire Warden during an emergency. By selecting an appropriate number of wardens
and conducting regular warden training, your organisation will ensure that your personnel are ready to
deal with any workplace emergency.
This course is as per the Australian Standards in accordance with the requirements of AS 1851-2005
Section 19 Emergency Evacuation Procedures and AS3745-2010 and integrate this with the Emergency
Plans and Procedures of the business.
During the warden training course, we will cover the duties of wardens during emergencies such as:
Fires, Bomb threats, Chemical Incidents, Armed Holdups and many more. Warden training is only
conducted by experienced emergency services personnel. Our warden trainers have responded to real
emergencies as emergency services officers and can walk you through the requirements of acting as a
fire warden.
Fire Warden Training is conducted on site.

COURSE CONTENT
This course is designed to be tailored to meet the needs of the client and company’s operation.
The course is composed of five sections:
• Introduction to the Legislation and Australian Standards
• Evacuation Procedures
• Introduction to Portable Fire Extinguishers
