Just days ago, Wong Tat Meng, former Malaysian national badminton coach, was discharged from our Hospital after months of intensive recovery. Today, as we reflect on his journey, we are inspired by how far he has come.

From the aftermath of a life-threatening motorcycle accident in September — with multiple fractures and severe head and spinal injuries — to now walking unaided and exercising independently, Tat Meng’s progress is nothing short of extraordinary. His resilience, combined with the expertise of our medical teams and the support of the badminton community, has turned a moment of crisis into a story of hope.

At Westmead Rehabilitation Hospital, we are privileged to have supported Wong Tat Meng through this stage of his recovery. As he continues with outpatient rehabilitation and prepares for further surgeries, his progress reflects both his personal resilience and the dedication of those around him.
