The psychology team is hosting a free educational seminar for cancer patients and carers entitled “Managing Anxiety and Worry with Cancer” on Friday 28 November from 10:00 am-12:00pm at Conference Room 2, Cancer Centre Westmead.

The Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre has received a generous donation from the Penrith Bowling and Recreation Club, who rallied together to fundraise and support vital research for cancer treatment in memory of Tracey Williams. Her son Jack shaved his head and donated his hair as part of the fundraising efforts. The service is extremely grateful for this wonderful donation.

What is WRAD?
WRAD is about amplifying our voices! The more people talking about radiotherapy, the more likely patients are to ask about it. Awareness can literally save lives. Despite its benefits, radiotherapy is still underutilised globally. Many patients don’t even hear about it as a treatment option.

On Thursday 15 August 2025 we celebrated our CPMCC
Cancer Nurses for their outstanding achievements, innovations, and contributions to improving the patient journey. An afternoon tea was held to recognise and acknowledge our amazing cancer nursing workforce and show our support by aligning with the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia (CNSA) theme ‘Strong, Skilled, Specialised’, recognising our workforce for what they are.

You should feel incredibly proud of completing the 31-day challenge! We hope you're not only feeling some amazing health benefits but also feeling an incredible sense of achievement knowing that you've helped raise over $5,948,451.
