A happy week at Cumberland View Aged Care and a busy one. We have celebrated so many special days - the Queens birthday, St George’s day and Chris came to help celebrate world Tai Chi day. Thanks to our wandering minstrel Boruch for spreading music and cheer. We acknowledged ANZAC Day with Mike Black from the RSL with a special service, laying of the wreath and the raising the Australian flag 🇦🇺

A wonderful week was shared with friends at Cumberland View Aged Care. We went on a scenic bus ride over the Swan Street Bridge- We waved to the Governor of Victoria at her gate - We stopped at the Shrine of remembrance and saw the changing autumn 🍂 colours. We’ve danced to Laurel McKenna 🎵, sang with Alex Matthews 🎸 and moved with Eliza to music🌸 We were pampered 💅 played games♟️ and so much more.

What a fantastic week at Cumberland View! 🌸🐣

We’ve been out enjoying the sunshine on morning walks, sharing plenty of smiles, laughter, and special moments.

Our Easter celebrations were full of fun – from our Easter Egg Hunt and puppet show with Puppets Alive & Steve 🎶, to the Lifestyle Team handing out Easter gifts.

Our Men’s Group raised a cheerful “Cheers to Easter” 🥂, and we also celebrated resident birthdays 🎂 along the way.

A big highlight was our trip to Pinewood Cinema to see “The Faraway Tree” 🎬 – a wonderful morning enjoyed by all! We’re already looking forward to next month’s outing to see “The Sheep Detectives.”

We even kept active with a putting session and our Exercise Group ⛳

Cumberland View residents have enjoyed a concert by Freddy G where we sang along to some wonderful tunes. 🎶 Steph Renouf delighted with her sparkling talent, singing and playing the keyboard. 🎹 We went on a scenic bus 🚍 ride to Green point Brighton. We enjoyed a taste experience trying our Chef’s salad 🥗 creations. Our high tea 🫖 🧁 was a hit with lots of yummy treats. And we welcomed some cute chicks 🐣 from Henny Penny hatchlings. It’s was the luck of the Irish and everything green this week at Cumberland View Aged Care ☘️
Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
We sang up a storm with our Irish singer Sarahanne Smyth, rocked along with our wonderful Alex Matthews and we swooned to Alicia O’Brien singing Vera Lyn classics. So much fun and what talent. We got moving with Chris’s chair Tai Chi and loved our Miracle Paws 🐾 cuddles with Sky.

We had a week of sumptuous food at Cumberland View Aged Care Living thanks to our wonderful kitchen staff for our cultural cuisine celebrating Chinese dishes. We also did a menu taste testing for our upcoming colder months. The verdict was very positive. We celebrated a milestone for our longest residing resident - 12 wonderful years. We celebrated Holi festival where colours and positivity are used to foster unity. Music 🎵 Music 🎵Music 🎵 with Laurel McKenna, Ken and his singing friends and the Treble Tones music ensemble. And lots of Birthdays and new friends to celebrate. Happy Friday

A warm hello from residents at Cumberland View Aged Care Living
We had a wonderful time last week with Milo from Miracle paws. We just love our visiting four footed friend 🐾
We danced, swayed and relaxed to music by Steph Renouf 🎹 🎤- Susan Graham🪉 & Ray Quon the Jazz pianist 🎹 We welcomed new friends at a special afternoon tea 🫖 🧁 We celebrated a big birthday 🎈 and shared a chat over coffee ☕️ on the bus trip to the Mulgrave Country club.

We celebrated Chinese New Year with amazing dances, decorations and craft. It was also Latvia’s Independence Day Monday and we celebrated with special treats. We sang and danced to so much great music with thanks to Margaret Dennis and Lorenzo. Happy Friday to our wonderful residents, family, friends and staff at Cumberland View Aged Care
