You might’ve noticed a change in our booking system this week.
We’ve introduced a digital appointment assistant - Heidi - who can book, change or cancel your appointments anytime, day or night.

She’s here to make things quicker and easier and to give you more options option when booking to see the lovely GPs. But don’t worry, our lovely human staff are still behind the desk and always happy to help if you’d rather speak with them. If at any time the Heidi process isn’t working for you you can always ask to be transferred to our reception staff during business hours.

Existing patients can also continue using our Engage Portal to book appointments, view results, and access correspondence- if you’d like to be set up just ask our human staff and they will be happy to send you a link.

🚨 ADHD ANNOUNCEMENT: NSW just changed the game 🚨

Today the NSW Government confirmed that trained GPs will soon be able to diagnose and prescribe ADHD medication for children - a huge step forward for families stuck in the specialist bottleneck. We have had families travelling to Sydney for years as they have been unable to receive care locally and waiting often even longer for access. ⁠

Not every GP will be eligible. This will be limited to those with accredited training and experience. ⁠

⁠

At The ADHD GP, we’ve been building for this through our Womens ADHD service. Our team is ready to guide you through this next chapter.⁠

We’re hiring a Registered Nurse.

Thursdays. One day a week. Casual role.

If you’re in the hospital system and curious about general practice — or already working in GP and looking to pick up a consistent day with a solid team — this might be your in.

You’ll be backed, involved, and given the space to actually connect with patients. No conveyor belts. No chaos. Just proper, relationship-based care alongside people who take pride in what they do.

We don’t expect you to walk in knowing everything. What matters is that you’re switched on, good with people, and keen to learn how GP is meant to be done.

Merry Christmas! Our last day before the break will be Friday the 20th December and we will be closed until January the 6th. Please ensure you check your scripts before we shut for the year so we can make sure you have everything you need for the break!

The Charlestown medicare UCC will be open for urgent needs throughout this time. GP access will also remain open. Heal Urgent Care and Lake Macquarie Private ED also offer urgent care services.
