Ladies, letโ€™s talk about incontinence! If you or someone you care about is experiencing incontinence, you are not alone. According to the Continence foundation of Australia 1 in 4 women will experience bladder or bowel control problems in their lifetime.
Urinary incontinence comes in many forms- the most common is Stress Incontinence which occurs when you cough or sneeze or exercise. There is also Urge Incontinence which occurs when you get a strong urge (out of nowhere) to go the toilet but donโ€™t quite make it. There is incontinence that occurs at night time and incontinence that occurs randomly that you canโ€™t feel happening. This is just to name a few!
Incontinence is something our Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, Kate can help you with. With pelvic floor re-training and lifestyle advice you can reduce or eliminate your symptoms in a matter of weeks!
