Whittlesea Specialist Centre is now Whittlesea Health & Wellness.

While our name has changed and the ownership of the clinic from Sharon Goodwin to her daughter Amy Goodwin, the same dedicated team is here to continue providing high-quality Specialist and Allied Health care to the Whittlesea community and surrounding areas. You may also notice some new admin roles and fresh updates around the clinic as part of our new look—but rest assured, our commitment to your health and wellbeing remains exactly the same.🤍

There are numerous studies on one of our favourite beverages. Did you know…

☕️ People who consume coffee every day are less likely to have fatty liver disease and liver scarring than those who do not drink coffee.

☕️ Daily coffee consumption also lowers the risk of several cancers including liver cancer.

☕️ Studies have shown that the health benefits are seen at 3-5 cups of coffee per day, either caffeinated or decaf.

Please note, if pregnant or for those with osteoporosis, high coffee consumption may not be recommended.

YES it can. Bowel cancer screening saves lives.

Screening detects cancer or pre-cancerous growths in your colon or re**um. When detected early through screening, bowel cancer is one of the most treatable cancers.

There are two ways to screen - the poo test & colonoscopy.

Good news, from July 1 2024, the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program lowered its eligibility starting age from 50 to 45. More Australians are now eligible for the free screening test. Learn more via link below💚
