HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

We have enquiries concerning the following person, Dr. Jacob(Jack) Zimmet who was a doctor in Whyalla in the 1940s, employed by BHP. He also started a community book club at the time. He and his wife, Anne, brought up 4 children, including their son, Paul Zimmet, who grew up in Whyalla and attended Whyalla Primary School. They moved back to Adelaide in the early 1950s.

The members of the Whyalla Family History Group continue to be in attendance at the Local History Room, in the Whyalla Public Library, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. The following dates for the remainder of this year are - 26th November and 10th December.
