Free immunisations are now available for pregnant people and babies to protect against RSV.

If you’re 28+ weeks pregnant or have a young child that needs extra protection from RSV, you or your little one may be eligible to receive an RSV immunisation.

RSV is a contagious virus that causes cold-like symptoms and serious lung infections – especially in babies and young children. Some babies can become so unwell, they end up in hospital.

Now is the time to protect your baby against RSV, ahead of the winter season.

Did you know that cervical screening has a do-it-yourself option?

The cervical screening test detects human papillomavirus (HPV) before it has the chance to develop into abnormal or cancerous cells. Staying up to date with your screenings is one of the best ways to prevent cancer of the cervix.

If you have a cervix, are aged 25 years or older and have had any type of sexual contact, you should have a cervical screening test every five years.

You can either collect your own cells from your va**na, in private, using a long-handled cotton swab or have a healthcare provider collect the sample for you.

Ask your healthcare provider whether self-collection for cervical screening is right for you.
