Hi and welcome to the new page!
I've never been one for introductions, but I am a mum, partner, sister and daughter first and foremost, and a neurodivergent business owner second. I've been a member of the Whyalla community since October 2020, and am proud to call Whyalla home. I started my career as a support worker 10 years ago in the Northern Territory Central Desert regions, a hands-on role where I fell in love with facilitating positive outcomes in the lives of people with disabilities and working in rural and remote areas.
My career journey in the disability services sector, has included roles in case management, human resources and support worker recruitment, NDIS specific finance management, allied health and medical/hospital team liaison, early childhood intervention and education. Most recently I was Operations Manager for a Supported Independent Living Provider based in Darwin. Living and working in the Northern Territory has instilled a passion for ensuring culturally safe and appropriate care plans for First Nations people and families.
I thoroughly enjoy making the NDIS easy to understand, easier to navigate and less intimidating for all participants, both current and prospective. I am experienced and committed to reducing the stress involved in sourcing supports for participants and their families. Advocacy and supporting participants to practice effective self-advocacy is another passion of mine.
