eheadspace change of hours!

eheadspace is a national online and phone mental health support service for young people aged 12-25, and for family who are seeking support about how to help a young person (aged 12-25) in their life.

eheadspace is free, confidential, and service users can choose to remain anonymous.

Support is provided via webchat, email, or phone. It is available 7 days a week, 3pm-10pm (in all Australian states and territories) which is the time that the majority of young people (approx. 88%) are seeking help.

🎉 What an incredible Mental Health Matters Round (MHMR) 2025! 🎉

This year we took things up a notch, alongside the Whyalla Football League, the Whyalla Netball Association joined the movement 🙌 … and we’re already looking forward to expanding even further in the future!

Over two big weeks in August, our community came together through sport, clinics, guest appearances, and conversations that put mental health front and centre 💙.

✨ Some highlights:
💡 100+ student dress designs, with A Graders rocking the winning looks (plus custom bibs & vests for EVERY grade, coach & umpire).
🏉 A modified version of ‘Camp Breakthrough’ bringing AFL Max to Whyalla to deliver the program to year 8 & 9 students at Memorial Oval
🏐 Netball clinics with some of the best in the game – Hannah Petty, Matilda Garrett, Laura Scherian & Jenny Borlase. Custom netball dress, bibs and vest presentations to all clubs
🎤 Inspiring talks from the Whyalla Su***de Prevention Network + Q&A with our netball stars.
🏉 Dedicated MHMR Footy & netball across the weekend and 3 Tackle Your Feelings Australia x SANFL sessions to upskill our community
🎶 Friday night vibes: inclusive sport by Why Day Disability Services, live tunes from Graeme Stephenson, and former AFL stars Paul Seedsman & Ned McHenry in the house.
🌟 Mental Health Matters Round Gala night: hosted by O Kipos, with powerful words from Cass Sims (Centacare), Jason Ryan (Thrive Dojo) & local mental health advocate Frank Castle, plus incredible live music from Chasing Sunsets.
