Minnie MacDougall Counselling Services Providing Counselling Services for Deaf and HH people in Newcastle and online Aus-wide. Iam a NAATI accredited Interpreter and Social Worker.

I completed my Social Work degree in 2004 and have been working with families, adults and children over the last 20 years. I now specifically provide Auslan counselling services to Deaf, Hard of Hearing clients and their families in Newcastle and the Hunter. I also provide counselling on Zoom to people across Australia. Iam a CODA and so grew up with Deaf parents and have been involved in Deaf community and Deaf culture my whole life. I work with adults and children. My areas of interest are assisting families through change- through family separation, transition stages, parenting and grief and loss. I would also love to assist you in managing depression, anxiety and looking at ways to increase your self- confidence and sense of identity. Looking forward to meeting you

Young People’s Theatre is excited to be able to offer an Auslan nterpreted performance of our DreamWork's Shrek the Musical JR. Qualified Auslan interpreters Sarah and Leigh will be live signing along with the show at the 2:30pm performance on Friday 17 April.

For the best view of the interpreters, please select the GREEN seats when purchasing tickets. All are welcome to attend this performance; however, we kindly ask that the green seats be reserved for those who require the best view of the interpreters, as well as their families.

We love to see representation on our screens, particularly for young people 💚 Peppa Pig have announced that Peppa’s younger brother George will be portrayed with hearing loss. New episodes will feature George discovering sounds & being fitted with a hearing aid.

At NextSense, we work with families experiencing hearing loss everyday & we know how important it is for children to feel seen & understood. We’re excited to see George’s story unfold! 🐷
