So amazing to have Meg with us!

đŸ€ Hi, I’m Meg — a qualified dietitian specialising in fertility and women’s health.

đŸ€I created this space to support you on one of life’s
most personal journeys.

đŸ€I have a lived experience of endometriosis and understand those pain points.

đŸ€I also understand that those in vulnerable times can be exploited by pseudo tests or quick fixes, and it’s something I strongly dislike in the health industry. I’ve seen this so many times when working as a dietitian so I created this safe space.

đŸ€I offer one-on-one consultations face-to-face or online. See calendar in my bio for availability. I offer a 15-minute FREE Discovery Call so we can have a chat and see if we’d be a good team. My clinics are Tuesday, Friday & Saturday at Thrive Wellness Hub, Wickham.

đŸ€ I can help you optimise egg + s***m health, provide nutrition support for assisted fertility or egg freezing, endometriosis, PCOS or adenomyosis, insulin resistance and hormonal balance.

đŸ€ My qualifications are:
đŸ€10-years as a qualified dietitian with a bachelor‘s degree in nutrition & dietetics with honors
đŸ€ELNA Certified Fertility Dietitian which stands for Early Life Nutrition Alliance, a specialty international certification
đŸ€ I am Accredited with Dietitians Australia & Sports Dietitians Australia

When you think about your relationship, do you still see your partner as your best friend?

According to decades of research by the Gottman Institute, one of the most important foundations of a happy, lasting relationship is friendship. It might sound simple, but couples who truly enjoy each other’s company—who laugh together, share inside jokes, support each other’s dreams, and stay curious about one another—are far more likely to weather life’s challenges together.

Gottman refers to this as the "glue" that holds a relationship together. Without it, couples can begin to feel more like housemates or co-parents than partners.

Here are a few ways to reconnect as friends:
🍃 Do something fun together that isn’t about problem-solving or planning
🍃 Ask open-ended questions and really listen to the answers
🍃 Make space for laughter and lightness, even during busy times
🍃 Celebrate each other’s wins—big or small

If your relationship feels more functional than fulfilling lately, you’re not alone—and it doesn’t mean love is lost. It might just mean your friendship needs nurturing.

Our counselling team can help you rebuild that sense of closeness, fun, and emotional connection. Whether you’ve been together 6 months or 20 years, it’s never too late to rediscover the friendship at the heart of your relationship.

Send us a message today to learn how relationship therapy can help you feel like teammates again—not just partners, but best friends đŸ€

When life gets busy, it’s easy to start feeling disconnected from the person you love. That’s where the concept of a Love Map—developed by Dr John Gottman—can make all the difference.

A Love Map is your mental map of your partner’s world. It includes their dreams, fears, favourite memories, current stressors, and even the little things like how they take their coffee or what song makes them smile.

According to Gottman Institute research, couples with richly detailed Love Maps are more resilient during stressful times and report higher levels of intimacy and satisfaction. Why? Because they stay emotionally connected, even when life is throwing challenges their way.

🍃 Here are a few ways to strengthen your Love Map:
đŸ€ Ask your partner what’s been on their mind lately
đŸ€ Talk about dreams or goals you haven’t shared in a while
đŸ€ Revisit favourite memories together
đŸ€ Show genuine curiosity—like you did when you first met

If it feels like you’ve grown apart or don’t know how to start reconnecting, that’s where we come in.

Relationship counselling provides a supportive space to rediscover each other, rebuild emotional closeness, and create a deeper connection—one conversation at a time.

Strong relationships aren’t built in grand gestures—they’re built in the everyday moments. According to research from the Gottman Institute, couples make what’s called bids for connection—small attempts to get their partner’s attention, affection, or support—constantly throughout the day.

A bid could be as simple as:
🍃 “Look at this funny video.”
🍃 “Can you believe what happened at work today?”
🍃 A sigh, a touch, or even just a glance.

Your response to these bids is powerful. You can either:
🍃 Turn towards – respond with interest or kindness
🍃 Turn away – ignore or brush it off
🍃 Turn against – respond with irritation or contempt

Gottman’s research shows that couples who stay together respond to each other’s bids 86% of the time, while those who eventually separate only do so 33% of the time. It's these micro-moments of connection that build emotional safety, trust, and intimacy over time.

If you’re noticing that these small moments are being missed—or that disconnection has crept in—you’re not alone. Life, stress, and communication breakdowns can all play a part.

That’s why our relationship counselling service is here—to help you notice the bids, rebuild connection, and develop tools to stay emotionally attuned to each other.

Every couple argues—it’s completely normal. But what really matters is how you recover from those moments of tension. According to decades of research by the Gottman Institute, the ability to use and respond to repair attempts is one of the strongest predictors of whether a relationship will succeed or fail.

đŸ€ A repair attempt is any effort—big or small—to prevent conflict from escalating. It could be a gentle joke to lighten the mood, a sincere “I didn’t mean to hurt you,” or even reaching for your partner’s hand in a moment of frustration.

These gestures might seem insignificant, but they’re powerful tools in maintaining emotional safety and connection.

And the best part? You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to be willing to try.

Couples who are able to recognise and respond to repair attempts with empathy and openness are more likely to stay emotionally connected, even during conflict. Those who miss or reject these attempts often find themselves stuck in a cycle of disconnection and misunderstanding.

If you feel like your arguments keep spiralling or your efforts to reconnect are being missed, relationship therapy can help. We’ll support you to:
🍃 Understand your patterns
🍃 Learn how to offer and receive repair attempts
🍃 Communicate in a way that fosters trust and understanding

đŸ€ Reach out to our counselling team today to book a session and learn how to turn moments of conflict into opportunities for growth and deeper connection.
