I’m so grateful to be on the other side of Tropical Cyclone Damien. We initially thought we were getting a category 4 direct hit but cyclones being cyclones, it altered its course slightly and didn’t officially make it to category 4. Our friends in Karratha and Dampier were in the firing line and got absolutely hammered. Amazingly, no lives were lost but so much damage occurred. It will take a lot of work to recover from this one.

My heart goes out to all affected by these horrendous bushfires. The loss of life and property is devastating. During our much needed thunderstorm last night all I could think was “this would be much better on the other side of our country.” If I could send it over, I would, in a heartbeat. Please stay safe, I wish you enough rain to take away the terror and enough support to get you on your feet again and give you hope for the future. I’m sending love ❤️
