In the liminal space between day and night is silence.

Andrew Holecek, author and dream and sleep researcher describes dark retreats as an opportunity to explore the porous boundaries between awake and asleep. Whilst these mini-retreats are not a full "dark retreat", they are an introduction or preparation for attendance at a dark retreat if desired, or simply time to spend nurturing yourself more deeply within the container of meditation.
