Our Vibrant Vocabulary term program helps young learners grow their language skills through fun, hands on weekly themes. Each session invites children to play, talk, describe and discover—building not just words, but confidence, curiosity and connection.
Each week we dive into a new engaging topic such as animals, food, feelings, transport, weather, community helpers and more. Through playful activities, children will:
✔️ Learn and practise new describing words (colour, size, texture, speed, emotion)
✔️ Build topic specific vocabulary in meaningful, interactive ways
✔️ Follow simple instructions during games, crafts and sensory activities
✔️ Practise turn taking, sharing materials and working with peers
✔️ Explore new concepts in a safe, low pressure environment
✔️ Practise asking questions, expressing ideas and using new words in conversation
For many children, group learning can feel overwhelming. New routines, expectations and communication demands can make participation tricky.
In our small, therapy focused group, we gently support children to:
• Expand expressive and descriptive language
• Increase confidence using new words in real interactions
• Strengthen turn taking, waiting and cooperative play
• Build flexibility when plans change or challenges arise
• Feel more comfortable communicating in group settings
This group may be a great fit if your child:
– Struggles to find the right words to describe things
– Finds group play or conversation challenging
– Becomes stressed when routines change or tasks feel difficult
Our Vibrant Vocabulary group offers a supportive, structured environment where children can practise communication skills in a fun, motivating context.

Is your child curious about building… but still developing the social skills to work confidently with others? 🧱

In our Building Connections term program, we’re helping children strengthen their social communication skills through hands on construction activities. Children don’t just build structures - they build language, cooperation and confidence.

In our sessions we will:
✔️ Practise describing materials and textures (“rough”, “smooth”, “heavy”, “bendy”)
✔️ Build vocabulary by comparing shapes, sizes and building components
✔️ Follow simple, step by step instructions to complete construction tasks
✔️ Work on turn taking, sharing tools and collaborative problem solving
✔️ Explore tools and materials in a safe, low pressure environment
✔️ Practise asking for help, negotiating roles and expressing ideas

For many children, group activities can feel overwhelming. New materials, teamwork expectations and communication demands can make participation tricky.

In our small therapy focused group, we gently support children to:
• Expand expressive and descriptive language
• Improve flexibility when plans change or challenges arise
• Strengthen turn taking, waiting and cooperative play
• Build confidence in group settings
• Learn how to negotiate, share and work toward a shared goal

This group may be a great fit if your child:
– Struggles to describe what they’re doing or what they need
– Finds teamwork or group play challenging
– Becomes stressed when plans change or tasks feel difficult

Our Building Connections group offers a supportive, structured environment where children can practise social skills in a meaningful, motivating context.

Top of the mornin' to you! To celebrate St Patrick's Day we have been catching leprechauns in our narrative groups - our clever kiddos devised a scheme to catch this sneaky fellow and make their wishes come true. Check out the wishes from our Early Primary Narrative group yesterday!

Is your child a fussy eater… or just unsure how to explore new foods? 🍉

This April in our Fruity Friends group, we’re helping children build confidence around food — not just eating it, but talking about it, describing it and exploring it safely.

In our session we will:
✔️ Practise describing textures (“squishy”, “smooth”, “crunchy”)
✔️ Build vocabulary by comparing colours, shapes and smells
✔️ Follow simple instructions to prepare fruit
✔️ Work on turn-taking and social communication
✔️ Try new foods in a low-pressure environment

For some children, mealtimes can feel overwhelming. New textures, unfamiliar smells and social expectations can make it tricky.

In our small group setting, we gently support children to:
• Expand their language
• Increase flexibility with foods
• Build confidence in social eating situations

If your child:
– Avoids certain textures
– Struggles to describe foods
– Has limited food variety
– Finds mealtimes stressful

This group might be a beautiful next step.

Does your child love experimenting, tinkering and creating?

This school holidays, our STEM Stars - Coding Crew group is getting a tech‑inspired upgrade - helping kids build confidence by exploring the way coders explore code: with curiosity, creativity and zero pressure.

In our creative “mini‑lab,” children will learn to:

Use location concepts which are important for giving and following instructions - "forwards", "backwards", "left", "right"

Expand their vocabulary library through colours, shapes and patterns

Practise turn‑taking and social communication like a collaborative coding team

In our small group setting, we gently support children to:

Build expressive language

Increase flexibility in communicating and working with peers

Grow confidence in creative and social situations

If your child loves coding and you want to channel that passion into stronger communication skills, this group could be the perfect next step.

Does your child panic before doctor or dentist visits?

For some children, medical appointments feel overwhelming - not because they’re “dramatic”… but because they don’t understand what’s happening to their body.

In our Brilliant Bodies group, we practise:
✔️ Labelling body parts
✔️ Talking about where it hurts
✔️ Understanding what doctors and dentists do
✔️ Rehearsing what might happen in an appointment

When children can name their body parts and describe their feelings, they feel safer and more in control.

If your child:
– Gets anxious before appointments
– Can’t explain where something hurts
– Avoids talking about pain

This is a skill we can help build.

Does your child love to explore their creativity with different art materials? 🎨

This upcoming holiday in our Art Alliance group, we’re helping children build confidence with all things art — not just making it, but talking about it, experimenting with it and exploring different materials.

In our group we will:
✔️ Practise describing textures (“rough”, “smooth”, “soft”)
✔️ Build vocabulary by comparing colours, shapes and patterns
✔️ Follow simple steps to create an art piece
✔️ Work on turn‑taking and social communication
✔️ Try new materials in a relaxed, low‑pressure environment

For some children, art activities can feel overwhelming. New textures, unexpected sensations and performance pressure can make it tricky.

In our small group setting, we gently support children to:
• Expand their language
• Increase flexibility with sensory experiences
• Build confidence in creative and social situations

If your child loves art and you want to help harness that passion to develop their communication skills, this group might be a beautiful next step.

We know how challenging it can be to see your child struggle and not know how to help them.

Every day, we work with children to support them in improving their communication skills, such as:
- learning the right sounds to say in words so they can be understood, and not just by close family members!
- using more words so they don't need to use their behaviour to show their big feelings and they can use words instead
- develop the confidence to join in play with peers, to make real friendships

If this is something your child needs help with, we can help!

We will work with you to establish clear goals and work on them together.
