This has been so true in my own journey.

I used to try fixing everything at once, food, movement, stress, sleep and it just left me overwhelmed.

What actually worked?

Dropping the pressure and choosing one thing to focus on.

For me, it was how I was fueling my body, simple, real, and consistent.

That ONE shift created space for everything else to follow.

🙋🏻‍♀️Menopause isn’t just a moment, it’s a permanent shift that millions of women navigate every single year. The numbers speak for themselves.

🌎 47 million women enter menopause annually. That will affect 51% of the population.

Over 1.1 billion will be postmenopausal by 2030.

And yes, 50+ symptoms are linked to this transition.

💬 Education helps, but it’s not about knowing everything.

It’s about knowing what’s going on with you, so you can get the right kind of support.

A quiet little pantry upgrade 🔄

I swapped Massel chicken stock powder (hello additives + fake sugars) for a collagen-rich bone broth that actually does something for my gut.

My new absolute fave & no need to add any salt!

Great as a cuppa on these cold wintery days!

👉 real ingredients, no preservatives, and yes, it lives in the fridge (because that’s what keeps it fresh… not chemicals).

⁠Slipping into old habits doesn’t mean you’re failing.⁠

It’s just a gentle nudge, a reminder that the old way no longer fits.⁠

⁠Maybe it takes a few repeats. Maybe more, maybe a lot. That’s okay.⁠

Because every time you notice, reflect, and shift again… that IS progress.⁠

🧠 Awareness first.⁠

🚶‍♀️ Then small, doable actions.⁠

👏 Even less frequent or smaller slips? That counts too.

I know this was true for me with changing my nutrition.

it took years of learning, messy action, and plenty of reminders.

I just wish I’d been a bit kinder to myself along the way.

✅ A simple but powerful swap: sometimes it just comes down to reading the ingredient list.
Cleaner, less processed options make a difference.

We’re exposed to a variety of chemicals and pesticides through processed foods and they can add up over time. ⚠️

When possible, swap for organic options.

💪 Small changes, made consistently, do compound over time. It’s never an all-or-nothing approach.

Stock up when they’re on special 💲.

❌ Most people don’t have a weight problem.
They have a metabolic health problem and don’t know it yet.

Metabolic syndrome is a group of conditions that increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes & can lead to insulin resistance.

These conditions include high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high triglyceride levels & too much fat around the waist, often measured by waist circumference. A waist circumference of 40 inches (102 cm) or more for men, or 35 inches (88 cm) or more for women is considered high.

Metabolic syndrome means having three or more of these conditions. But having even one of the conditions increases the risk of disease.

The good news? It’s fixable with consistent action, not extremes. Check out Slide 5 actionable steps.

Keeping it simple, delicious and nutritious is how I roll with my low carb nutrition.

I hope these meal ideas give you inspiration (tweak accordingly to your taste & individuality) to stay consistent & fuller for longer!!

By prioritising flavours with seasonings, salts & rubs with a variety of protein keeps it interesting & satisfying!

We have a few family rituals with our weekly menu which takes the guess work out of ‘what’s for dinner?’

Mid Week - on the nights I have longer work days, we keep to a BBQ (as hubby cooks - winning!!) otherwise I cook up some more detailed…cook once eat twice.
Saturday Night - Hamburger night
Sunday Night - Fish. We buy fresh from local fish monger as we have more time

I also try to have a few leftovers (ok maybe snacks :) in the fridge:
- Cold cooked sausages
- Boiled eggs
- Smoken salmon
- Hamburger patties with cheese

These are handy to grab & go when on the run & keep the pesky rebound hunger at bay.
