S I T - T O - S T A N D. Does travel throw off your exercise routine? Try this simple move: the sit-to-stand! 🚶‍♀️

How many times do you stand up and sit down into a chair every day?

A Study in 2015 that looked at adults with and without pathology, suggested the average number of sit to stands per day was at least 45. (Daily sit-to-stands performed by adults: a systematic review, Bohannon).


That’s the same as doing 45 squats. So keep your legs strong on the go by sneaking in extra sit-to-stands throughout your day. Every move counts! 💪

H I K I N G? Planning a walking holiday or just want to explore more on foot? 🚶‍♂️🏞️

Keep your legs strong and ready with these tips:

• Break in your shoes before you travel—no new shoes on day one!
• Start increasing your walking a few months ahead of your trip.
• Add strength training: calf raises, lunges, and balance exercises are your friends.
• Choose the right bag or backpack and practice carrying it.
• Know ‘your’ best stretches to do on the way.
Prep before you go so you can enjoy every step of your adventure! 👟✨
