If you're in Adelaide at the moment, you'd be forgiven to think you're in the tropics! Warm temperatures and rain make for a perfect day of pottering around the house - or building a dam on the street with your friends if you're Mr 9 ☺️

Still, my thoughts go out to all who aren't as lucky as we are ...

Cherish what you have.

A sentiment I echo. I certainly came to yoga via asana (posture) practice, and then discovered this was just the tip of the iceberg. Yoga is more than just poses - it provides a framework for living and a path towards contentment.

Maybe you came for the stretch and stayed for the sanctuary.

Whatever first called you to yoga—an aching body, a restless mind, a search for something more—you may have discovered something unexpected: a sense of peace, a moment of breath, the beginning of a lifelong friendship with yourself.

What first brought you to yoga? And what’s kept you coming back?

This great reminder that healthy habits such as a daily meditation practice are built slowly and from the ground up landed in my inbox today. Thank you, Yoga International 😊
We don't need to wait for motivation to strike - getting started is the most important thing. Even when you're a busy parent!

Here's my tip on how to get started:
When you wake up in the morning, before getting out of bed, place one hand on your lower belly and one on your heart. Slowly breathe in and out, feeling the gentle rise and fall of your abdomen and chest. Notice the warmth of your hands radiating into your heart and belly.
Start with three breaths and build from there each morning. Also great to do at night before going to sleep. 🙂

The woman behind Flow & Grow Family Yoga

I’m Antje.

I founded Flow & Grow Family Yoga in 2020 in order to help parents and children connect, with themselves and with each other, through the power of yoga.

Being a parent myself, what excites me most about practising and teaching yoga is that it is one of the most joyous and effective ways to help us build a strong relationship with our children. It is this strong relationship that allows us and them to navigate life successfully.

I also love teaching family yoga because it lets me to bring together the "three loves of my life": parenting, yoga, and creative teaching.
