As an osteopath and mum of nearly 3…
I can tell you this confidently:

Easy pregnancies, smooth births and good recoveries don’t just “happen”.

Your body prepares for birth long before labour begins.

And no, I don’t believe women were designed to suffer through pregnancy.

I’ve had two very positive pregnancies, births and recoveries.
One physiological breech birth.
One free birth with only my husband present.
And I fully expect my third to be the same.

Not because I got “lucky”.
Because I’ve supported my body intentionally the entire way through.

I nourished my body properly.
Minerals. Protein. Whole foods. Hydration. Nervous system support.

I kept moving.
Weights 3–5x a week. Walking daily and some running.

I maintained strength.
And honestly? This matters more than most women realise.

Pregnancy is treated like fragility.
“Don’t lift that.”
“Don’t strain.”
“Slow down.”

Yet birth itself is one of the most physically demanding things a woman will ever do.

Your body needs capacity.
Strength. Mobility. Endurance. Trust.

I also protected my environment fiercely.

Because birth works best when a woman feels:
Safe.
Connected.
Loved.
Unobserved.
Relaxed.

The same environment that makes a baby… helps birth one.

And postpartum?
I didn’t rush it.

I rested.
Reconnected slowly.
Allowed recovery to happen instead of trying to “bounce back”.

But the biggest thing?

I trusted my body.

I didn’t feed fear.
I didn’t hand my power away.
I listened to my body instead of constantly looking outside myself.

I honestly believe many women are being conditioned to fear birth instead of prepare for it.

Fear disconnects you from your body.
Strength reconnects you to it.

Move your body.
Nourish it properly.
Protect your nervous system.
Trust yourself more than the noise.

That changes everything.

I make butter because I have access to beautiful quality milk… and because I understand how deeply nutrition impacts our health.

Our health truly starts from the inside out.
Every meal, every ingredient, every small choice is either nourishing the body or adding more burden to it.

And no, I don’t believe healthy living has to mean perfection or extreme restriction.
For me, it’s about becoming more intentional.

Choosing food closer to its natural state.
Learning where our food comes from.
Supporting local farmers.
Making small sustainable swaps that compound over time.

Homemade butter from raw, grass-fed biodynamic milk might seem “extra” to some people… but to me it’s simply returning to traditional nourishment.

The deeper I go into health, the more I realise:
the body responds differently when we nourish it properly with quality.

Most people think kids getting constantly sick is just “part of childhood.”

But I don’t believe resilient health happens by accident.

Before this recent cold, my kids hadn’t been sick in over a year. They’ve never had more than just a common cold.

No ear infections.
No persistent illness.
No allergies.
No chronic health conditions.

And honestly? I can’t even remember them ever having those thick green, j***y snotty noses we see so commonly in kids.

And no, I don’t think we’re just “lucky.”

We’ve intentionally built a lifestyle that supports their bodies every single day:

* nutrient-dense whole foods
* sunlight + outdoor play
* hydration
* nervous system support
* quality sleep
* low-tox living
* less processed food
* more connection

Will they still get sick sometimes? Of course.
Symptoms are part of being human and building an immune system.

But there’s a big difference between:
“occasionally unwell”and “constantly struggling.”

This is simply what’s worked incredibly well for our family, and I love sharing what’s helped us and hope it can support others.

Take what resonates. Leave what doesn’t. ✨

Most people think clean laundry means strong fragrance… but many detergents are actually designed to leave residues behind on your clothes.

That means your skin is wearing those ingredients all day long, and your bedding holds onto them too.

Some commonly found ingredients in laundry detergents linked to these concerns include:
• Benzisothiazolinone (BIT)
• Methylisothiazolinone (MI)
• Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
• Sodium Polyethoxyalkyl Sulfate
• Optical brighteners
• Synthetic fragrance/parfum
• Ethoxylated surfactants
• Artificial dyes and preservatives

That’s why I started looking for lower-tox options years ago…
and eventually switched to using mostly JUST 11.5pH water + pure essential oil instead.

And honestly?
Our clothes have never felt cleaner, softer, or smelt fresher.
And this water is safe enough to drink.
The craziest part is this water can be used for SO much more than just laundry too 👀
