🔦Spotlight: Dr Kara Hayes
Originally from Canada, Dr Kara fell in love with Australia during a student exchange, and once she graduated, she made the big move back to stay! We do lose her now and then to the ice hockey season (go Maple Leafs!), but when she’s in the clinic, her heart is all in.

Dr Kara has a special interest in caring for babies, children, and growing families. Her passion lies in supporting childhood development through chiropractic care, but she knows it all starts well before birth. That’s why she’s also deeply committed to looking after mums during pregnancy, helping them feel strong, supported, and ready for the journey ahead.

With her big heart, gentle approach, and love for paediatrics, Dr Kara brings warmth and wisdom to every family she works with.

🔦Spotlight: Dr Lindy Kuburic
Dr Lindy is the heart behind Balanced for Life, and her passion for chiropractic care runs deep. With a special interest in family care and sports injuries, she’s especially focused on combining gentle, effective chiropractic with the power of MLS Medical Laser therapy to help her patients achieve faster, longer-lasting results.

Outside the clinic, you’ll often find Lindy chasing sunshine, whether it’s swimming in the ocean, paddling on her stand-up paddleboard, or hiking trails (her dream hike in the Dolomites? Ticked off the bucket list!).

With her adventurous spirit and love for helping people move better, Lindy leads our team with energy, empathy, and a deep commitment to care.

🔦Spotlight: Dr Jin Lim (Youngjim)
Originally from South Korea, Dr Jin brings a wealth of experience and a calm, focused presence to our team. Before becoming a chiropractor, he trained and worked as a neuro physiotherapist, a background that gives him a deep understanding of movement, function, and rehabilitation.

After completing his chiropractic studies in Sydney, Dr Jin went on to practise in Singapore and Canberra, before settling back in Sydney, where he now calls home.

Dr Jin is known for his precision and his commitment to constant growth. He practises the Gonstead technique, which is highly specific and hands-on, and he continually expands his knowledge to deliver the best care possible. Outside the clinic, you'll find him exercising, moving his own body well, and enjoying a great cup of coffee.

We're so lucky to have his steady hands and sharp mind as part of our team!

🔦SPOTLIGHT : Dr Renee Sathiaraj
If you've met Dr Renee, you already know she brings both heart and brains to everything she does! A valued part of the Balanced for Life family for over 3.5 years, Renee tied the knot last year, and we recently discovered she’s also a bit of an artist—her hand-drawn anatomy diagrams are next-level impressive.

What many don’t know is that Renee has played basketball competitively for years, has even refereed games, and still hits the court regularly. It’s no surprise then that her passion lies in helping people overcome shoulder injuries—from rotator cuff tears and tendinopathies to bursitis—with care, precision, and a gentle, patient approach.

She brings a spark, steady hands, and sporting spirit to our team—and we’re so lucky to have her!

Medication and Neck Pain

While pain medications may offer temporary relief from neck pain, multiple studies reveal opioids, prescribed for this purpose, DO NOT relieve acute low back or neck pain (lasting up to 12 weeks), and may even exacerbate the condition, leading to increased pain.

Adjust your thinking and join the National Spinal Health Week ‘Movement’ (26 May – 1 June). To get the heads up on tech neck, access FREE resources, and consult an ACA chiro for drug-free pain relief visit👉 www.spinalhealthweek.org.au.

ITS SPINAL HEALTH WEEK...
And we are emphasising TECH NECK 😧

📱 Don’t let Tech be a Pain In The Neck!

Neck pain? You might be experiencing tech neck - a growing musculoskeletal disorder caused by poor posture and overuse of mobile phones, tablets, and computers.

When we spend too much time with our heads tilted forward using devices, it places repeated stress on the cervical spine. Over time, this can lead to Tension Neck Syndrome – more commonly known as Tech Neck or Text Neck.

Non-ergonomic setups at home, school, or work can make it worse. And with 95% of Aussies using smartphones, tech neck is more common than ever.

If you suffer neck pain join the Spinal Health Week Movement (26 May – 1 June) and take proactive steps to prevent tech neck! 👉 Visit www.spinalhealthweek.org.au for FREE resources including fact sheets, guides, and podcasts, or to consult an ACA chiro for drug-free pain relief.

Hey Mums,

You’re always giving. But when was the last time you checked in with you?

Motherhood is beautiful and exhausting. The constant demands, mental load, and pace can leave you feeling tense, drained, and wired.

That stress builds up in your body. It can show up as tight shoulders, headaches, fatigue, and trouble sleeping signs your nervous system is overwhelmed.

Chiropractic care can help. At Balanced for Life, our gentle adjustments aim to support the vagus nerve, allowing your body to shift from stress to calm.

This Mother’s Day, let it be your turn.

Because at Balanced for Life, moving better matters.

When your nervous system works better, you feel more focused, balanced, and like yourself.

Have you ever wondered why you feel a little better but not quite 100%?
