🎉 Liz Wilkes - First Queensland Chief Midwife 🎉

You may have 👀 this amazing news over the weekend that My Midwives founder and Managing Director Liz Wilkes has been appointed as the very first Queensland Chief Midwife!

Liz has been a long-time advocate for midwives, for midwifery continuity of care and for mothers and babies and will no doubt excel in her new role!

Sadly, Liz will be resigning as Managing Director of My Midwives at the end of the week but of course we are so incredibly proud of her and what she will do for Queensland maternity moving forward.

In the coming days we will introduce the new Managing Director, but for now please take a moment to send your love and congratulations to Liz ❤️

My Midwives Brisbane clinic is looking for someone to fill a 6 week casual position (with possible extension) as a Practice Support Officer to provide general office support alongside Sam our amazing Clinical Support Officer 💜

We will need you to be available to work full time between 9am to 5pm at the Red Hill clinic and this role does not require any specific qualifications as all training will be provided on the job.
Some of the tasks that the Practice Support Officer will undertake are:
✨ Restocking clinic rooms with towels, stock, and midwifery equipment
✨ Maintaining the clinic space – general cleaning and washing
✨ Greeting clients in the clinic ensuring all of their recent results have been received and available for the midwife
✨ Handling incoming calls, answering client general queries and taking messages where required
✨ Receiving and putting away all incoming clinic stock
✨ Actioning incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
✨ Keeping midwifery paperwork stocked
✨ Making booking, welcome and postnatal packs

One of beautiful families has had some very sad news. Camille & Matt had all 3 babies with My Midwives and are a special part of our family.

Sadly their youngest Aoife, and has just turned one, has been diagnosed with heptoblastoma (liver cancer) One of our other beautiful mothers had organised a gofundme to try support them through this difficult time. 📢 We are hiring - Practice Support Officer 📢

Our Brisbane clinic is on the search for a Practice Support Officer to join the team. The Practice Support Officer actively contributes to the effective day-to-day running of the clinic.

Some of the tasks that the Practice Support Officer will undertake are:
· Restocking clinic rooms with towels, stock, and midwifery equipment
· Maintaining the clinic space to a high standard – general cleaning and washing
· Greeting clients in the clinic ensuring all of their recent results have been received and available for the midwife
· Handling incoming calls, answering general client queries and taking messages where required
· Undertaking monthly stock takes on clinic stock and equipment and liaising with Clinical Support Officer and Financial Controller to ensure stock is ordered (clinical stock and products for sale)
· Receiving and putting away all incoming clinic stock
· Actioning incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
· Keeping midwifery paperwork stocked
· Making booking, welcome and postnatal packs

The Practice Support Officer will be employed on a casual basis with a minimum of 15-20 hours per week. This role does not require any specific qualifications as all training will be provided on the job.
