BREAKING: The South Australian Parliament has just passed historic new laws that will ban killer single-use plastics, starting in early 2021! It's a historic win for our turtles, whales and seabirds.

The laws ban:
🚫 Single-use plastic cutlery
🚫 Single-use plastic straws
🚫 Single-use plastic drink stirrers

12 months after the ban starts, expanded polystyrene cups, bowls, plates and oxo-degradable plastics will also be banned.

We congratulate David Speirs MP and the SA Government for cementing SA's place as Australia's leader in the fight against plastic, as the very first state to ban these plastic items.
