I feel very honoured to have recieved an award for 'Pride of Workmanship' by the Springwood Rotary Club. I had a fabulous evening with the lovely and dedicated members and I am so thankful for this award!

Yesterday was a significant day for me – I retired from being a Physiotherapist. The elbow injury I sustained 2 years ago hasn’t healed well enough for me to properly use my arm to do ‘physio’ things.

I began my degree 38 years ago and opened Winmalee Physiotherapy Sport & Rehab Centre 28 years ago– half my life. I am so thankful to God for those years of living in and serving this community and working with the wonderful staff and other allied health that have called the Practice their workplace. It has been a challenging and rewarding career, and an incredible privilege to have cared for people and families through their pain and injuries, and in turn I have been blessed by them, sharing life’s journeys.

I am very thankful that Kirbey Schufft will be the Principal Physiotherapist and owner of Winmalee Physio now. Kirbey has worked with me for the past 11 years and will carry on the high quality, person centred care that we have been known for.

Thank you to those of you who may have been a patient over the years, no doubt I will see many of you around the traps and am happy to stop for a chat.

May you have a blessed Easter and consider what the celebration means to you. Jesus asks each of us “Who do you say I am?” (Matt 16:15).
