After years and years of being told that exercise is only worthwhile if it is really hard it can be challenging to re-learn that it doesn't have to be this way.

As a MumSafe Trainer it's part of my job to help you to understand the best and most effective exercise for you on any given day.... and this means adapting based on any number of factors - like how you slept, or how restless your baby has been, your mental health and energy levels.

One of the biggest shifts I see in clients is when they realise that there is so much to a workout than how much they sweat!

In fact, often times this comes with relief to know that different types of movement on different days is exactly what your body needs.

So - permission to adapt and move your body in a way that actually feels good!

Want to do this in a supportive environment? At XYZ biz our goal is to provide as individualised workout as possible even inside of a group environment - head to the link in my bio to book a trial session today and see what it's all about

Mums tell us they choose because they feel safe, supported and genuinely understood and that’s exactly how training should be.

💫February Member of the Month 💫

Shout out to our BRF member, Jess

Jess has been a longstanding member since 2022 after starting with her sister in law.

Jess started Mums and Bubs with her first son Seb, trained through her 2nd pregnancy and has returned to exercise post her second son, Benji.

I am constantly in awe of Jess how she navigates two busy boys, always affectionate with jumping on Mum whilst she’s exercising, the snack stations she prepares for them and of course the runaway toddler recovery moves each week.

Unfortunately it is bitter sweet that we have to say farewell to Jess this month as she moves away from us, personally it has been an absolute honour to walk with Jess alongside postnatal recovery twice and pregnancy navigating all the ups and downs. The boys will hold a special place in my heart and of course we welcome you to visit when you’re in the area again.

We’re so proud of you, Jess, You are a beautiful, caring person and an amazing Mum, by golly I am proud, so proud of you Jess and with little tears, I will miss you so much!

Enjoy your box of goodies, well deserved!

As an exercise professional working with mums, this is something I see all the time 👇

There’s a difference between strength and guarding, and from the outside, they can look very similar.

Strength usually shows up as:
– steady movement
– controlled effort
– the ability to breathe while you move
– feeling supported rather than tense

Guarding, on the other hand, is when the body is trying to protect itself.

It might look like:
– shoulders lifting toward the ears
– holding your breath without realising
– moving stiffly to feel safe
– pushing through even when something feels off

After pregnancy, long periods of stress, or just carrying a lot day to day, guarding is common.

Part of my role as your trainer is helping your recognise the difference, so we’re not mistaking protection for progress.

When the body feels supported and understood, guarding can soften and that’s often when real strength starts to build.

I’m always happy to help you figure out the next step, at your pace.

So many mums carry tension in their bodies without even realising it.

Not because anything is wrong , but because over time the body adapts.

Long days holding babies, feeding, lifting, working, running households, deskbound, broken sleep… it all adds up. The body quietly compensates and keeps going because that’s what mums do.

As a MumSafe Trainer, I see this often. And what’s beautiful to watch is how much can shift when movement becomes supportive rather than something we push through.

When mums start moving in a way that actually supports their body, little things begin to change.

Breathing becomes easier. Movements feel more stable. Confidence starts to come back - sometimes even before strength becomes the focus.

It’s not about smashing yourself in a workout.
It’s about relearning how to move well again, rebuilding strength gently, and giving your body the care it deserves.

WAITLIST is OPEN - do you have your name on it yet?

If this sounds like the kind of space your body has been needing, you’re very welcome to send me a DM and we can chat about getting started.

Letting go of timelines and expectations can be one of the most powerful shifts a mum makes when returning to running, movement or reaching out for guidance.

When it comes to running, I see all the time, we feel like we should be able to jump straight back in — run the same distances, keep the same pace, and pick up where we left off before babies. But motherhood changes our bodies, our energy, our sleep, and the rhythm of our days.

What I’ve seen time and time again is that real progress begins when we stop rushing the process.

When we slow down, rebuild the foundations, and allow the body the time it actually needs to adapt, something shifts. Running starts to feel stronger, more sustainable and far more supportive instead of something we’re constantly trying to push through.

For many mums, returning to running isn’t just about fitness. It’s about relearning how to move well again, reconnecting with your core, supporting your pelvic floor, and building strength step by step.

If you’re a mum thinking about running again but feeling unsure about how to approach it, please know you’re not alone in that experience.

This journey doesn’t need to be rushed.

It can be built slowly through daily movement, small consistent steps, and moments of self-care that support your body for the long term.

Our MumSafe™ trials for our Mums and Bubs is opening up in a few short weeks. If you'd like to be first on our list, grab your spot on our waitlist or drop me a DM to chat about guidance from someone who understands postnatal bodies and the demands that impact can place on them.

You’re allowed to take your time.
You’re allowed to learn as you go.

Quite often mums mention the idea of doing a running event long before they actually commit to it.

It usually comes up casually in conversation maybe a fun run next year, a charity event, or something a friend has suggested. It’s something that sounds exciting… but there’s also a little uncertainty around whether their body is ready for it.

What I notice is that many people jump straight to thinking about training plans, pace, or distance. But the more important question in the beginning is actually how your body is handling impact right now and how well it recovers afterwards.

For mums, especially post-baby , running isn’t just about fitness. It’s about pelvic floor strength, core stability, and building the right foundations first so your body feels supported when you start adding impact.

If a 2026 running event is something sitting in the back of your mind, the best place to begin is with guidance that understands postnatal bodies and the demands of running.

Send me a DM if you'd like more information.

Running a business as a Mum has been one of the greatest teachers of my life.

There have been school drop-offs straight into coaching sessions, programming workouts late at night, replying to messages in between family life and wondering if I was doing any of it well enough.

Some days I felt like I was juggling everything.

Other days it felt like everything was juggling me.

But what motherhood and business have taught me is resilience, patience and perspective.

They’ve taught me that success isn’t always the big milestones sometimes it’s simply showing up again the next day.

And the biggest gift of this journey has been building a space where women feel supported, understood and strong in their own bodies.

It’s taught me that women don’t need more pressure to do more.

They need support to do what works for their body.

It’s taught me that strength isn’t always about lifting heavier weights sometimes it’s about a mum carving out 30-45 minutes for herself in the middle of a busy life.

It’s taught me that community is everything.

And it’s taught me that when women feel safe, educated and supported, their confidence grows in ways that reach far beyond the gym floor.

This journey has been full of lessons, challenges, wins and growth.

And if there’s one thing I’m proud of, it’s helping change the way women experience fitness.
