Offspring Yoga Prenatal yoga for the active pregnancy

Offspring Yoga is a yoga class designed for the active pregnant woman, providing you with a physically challenging class but practicing in a very safe and heavily modified way to make sure there is no risk to you or your baby. These classes will empower you to maintain a high level of fitness and strength throughout your pregnancy, to aid in the preparation for an active labour and to set you up for a speedy post partum recovery. But most importantly, we will focus on nurturing a healthy state of mind which is especially essential throughout this very special time in your life.

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately, now that my ‘baby’ is 7.
I think back to when he was so tiny, so needy, so helpless and so damn cute. I don’t want to change anything, we did it our way and it was a perfect, lovely mess.

But if I could go back and say some things to that younger version of myself, this is what it would be:

💫 enjoy the slowness of this time. The busy-ness will come again, way before you’re ready, and you’ll be craving the slow pace that has passed.

💫 say kind things to yourself. You are doing everything you need to be doing, stop setting yourself unachievable expectations that only make you feel like s**t when you don’t reach them.

💫 say no to things and people that don’t serve you. You are enough and you don’t need to say yes just to please people.

💫 it’s ok to ask for help. I know you CAN do it all, but you don’t need to. Accept the help, and ask for more of it when you’re not getting enough. Support is essential and it doesn’t mean you’re not worthy if you receive it.

💫 you are beautiful. Even with the saggy bags under your eyes and a body that doesn’t feel like yours. Motherhood looks great on you.

💫 express your feelings, all of them! Let the anger out in a healthy way, don’t bottle it up, it’s causing all that resentment you’re feeling. Go punch some pillows.

Time, the one thing we know we can never get back.

I finally wrote and recorded my birth stories - almost 6.5 years after becoming a mum! It took me a long time to be ready to do this - I had three babies in 3.5 years and it was BUSY, I was in the moment and had little time to reflect. My biggest boy also had a NICU and special care journey that I hadn’t been ready to process at a deeper level until now. But I believe for me this timing is perfect - it has helped me close this chapter of motherhood in the most beautiful way. And as I look back, I feel so proud of my journey and the resilience, strength, love, and intention I’ve carried through every season of this beautiful, transformational path of motherhood. It’s been messy of course! But it’s absolutely the best thing I’ve ever done, and it’s changed me in ways that are hard to describe - its forced me to explore my own inner landscape and taught me surrender, presence, patience, compassion and deep joy. Forever grateful for this path and I’m excited to have these stories to hold now, so I can share them with my little ones in the future. Because these stories aren’t just mine - they are the stories of three incredible souls and how they entered this world ✨🩵🩵🩷✨

We had the pleasure of spending the day with the very inspiring and knowledgeable Catherine Bell who developed . ✨💗

We had already been using the birth map with our doula clients and always speak about the importance of it in our prenatal yoga classes, but to up skill our knowledge and have the chance to talk with Catherine about the concept and the huge amount of time, energy and research she has put into this was incredible. 🙌❤️

There is a big vision for the birth map and we are so excited to see it unfold. 🙏
