🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all of us at Optimum! 🍀

Most of you will know that Joe’s cultural heritage is split between England 🇬🇧 and Ireland 🇮🇪… but today there’s absolutely no doubt which side is winning — it’s all about the green! ☘️💚

Wishing everyone a beautiful St. Patrick’s Day full of music, laughter, and maybe a little mischief too 😉

Joe is currently heading down to Melbourne on a seven-hour round trip 🚗💨 so his son Pascal can play a gig… which only lasts 30 minutes 🤦♂️😂
(Yes, in hindsight, the train might have been a smarter idea 😅)

Still anything for the music! 🎶

Our new team photo is finally up! We sneaked it onto our website a few weeks' ago and are also brave enough to post it on our socials!!

The old one had been there way too long and still featured some lovely humans who haven’t worked here for… well… quite a while. Sorry about that 🙈

We had a great laugh putting this one together and deliberately kept it relaxed and a bit silly .. because stiff, corporate photos just aren’t us.

Thanks for putting up with our outdated mugshots, and for continuing to support our little clinic.

Pascal is Joe's eldest boy and we're delighted to support his cricket journey this year with Belvoir Eagles Cricket Club 🏏

After a strong Under-16s campaign in 2025, he stepped up into First Grade. This was a big jump but he handled it with real maturity.

We were proud to sponsor him as an individual member this season, and even prouder to see the Optimum Physio logo sitting pride of place.

A big thank you to all the other local businesses who stepped up to support this great club. Community sport only thrives when locals get behind it.

Joe and Pascal regularly head down to the nets at Kelly Park for throw-downs and a few laughs... a brilliant bonding ritual for dad and lad and something they both genuinely love.

Here’s to building on this season in 2026 👏🏏

Meet Océane.

Océane came to see us a few weeks' ago and presented with long-standing pelvic pressure and dysfunction following complex gynecological and trauma-related complications.

When she first came to us, her symptoms were impacting her ability to rest comfortably, stand for prolonged periods, and fully participate in activities she loves. Mobility through the hips and pelvis had reduced, and the body had understandably developed protective muscular patterns.

Through hands-on myofascial release, targeted soft tissue work, dry needling, education, and a structured home program, her symptoms have significantly decreased. Resting discomfort has improved, mobility is returning, and confidence is growing.
There is still a journey ahead but we’re thrilled with the progress so far.
With continued collaboration and the next phase of treatment, we’re confident Océane will regain even greater pelvic freedom and return fully to swimming, hiking, and the activities that matter most to her.

These cases remind us that the pelvis is complex...muscular, neural, hormonal, and emotional factors all interplay. and careful, patient-centred care makes all the difference.

Labour Day – Clinic Closed Monday 9th March

A heads-up for our wonderful Optimum community — the clinic will be closed this Monday for the Labour day public holiday.

We received SIX Yellow/White Pages in the post today.

Six...almost enough to build a small retaining wall.

Hands up 🙋♂️ who still uses the Yellow Pages?
Be honest. No judgement. This is a safe space.

Do you:
A) Actually look up businesses in it
B) Use it to prop up a wobbly table
C) Keep it in the car for emergency door-stop situations
D) Wonder why it still exists

And yes, they work beautifully together.

Pop in, stand between them for a minute.
Let the colour do the talking.
