Border Ovarian Cancer Awareness Group 1200 Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year. In Australia alone, a woman dies of Ovarian Cancer every ten hours.

The Border Ovarian Cancer Awareness Group is based in the Victorian Border community of Albury/Wodonga and is dedicated to raising awareness of this insidious cancer, assist women to recognise the symptoms, support those fighting the disease and in memory of those that have passed away from Ovarian Cancer. The Border Ovarian Cancer Awareness Group are committed to raising funds through donation an

d sponsorship collection to offer community education and disease prevention of Ovarian Cancer. The Border Ovarian Awareness Group are a not-for-profit community group madeup of volunteers and forming after the passing of Kelsey Watts, aged 33 of Ovarian Cancer. The Border Ovarian Cancer Awareness Group wholeheartedly support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund and Ovarian Cancer Australia. The group is enthusiastically supported by local Genetist Doctor Moulik and Peter Mac’s Dr Peter Bowtell.

World Ovarian Cancer Day 2023.

The theme for this year's World Ovarian Cancer Day, which takes place annually on May 8th, is "No Woman Left Behind".

Awareness is the cure.

The most common symptoms of ovarian cancer include:
*Bloating.
*Pelvic or abdominal (belly) pain.
*Trouble eating or feeling full quickly.
*Urinary symptoms such as urgency (always feeling like you have to go) or frequency (having to go often).
