It’s that time of year again, Melbourne Cup Day! Marina Radiology will be closed on Tuesday, 4th November.

We wish all our patients and community a safe and enjoyable long weekend, whether you’re watching the races, spending time with loved ones, or simply taking a well-earned break! 💙

Normal hours will resume Wednesday, 5th November.

International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month
Throughout October, families across the world remember and honour babies lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. The month is a chance to raise awareness, share experiences, and break the silence that often surrounds this type of grief. On 15 October, many take part in the global Wave of Light by lighting a candle at 7 pm local time. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of compassionate, respectful care, particularly in settings such as early pregnancy assessments and ultrasound.

MRI scans, for example, can be noisy and confined, which some find stressful. Small steps like offering clear explanations, ear protection, and pause signals can make the imaging experience calmer, showing how emotional wellbeing and physical health go hand in hand.
