Refuel Fitness & Supports is a purpose-led mentoring and support provider dedicated to empowering children, young people, and adults. We provide centre-based, community-based, and in-home supports that are strengths-based and outcomes-focused.

About the Role

We’re seeking a positive, reliable, and active Support Worker/Mentor to join our growing team. This role will involve:

Supporting young people in one-to-one mentoring sessions and small groups

Providing guidance in life skills, fitness, and social engagement

Being a strong role model for young males, particularly those who benefit from male mentorship and positive male influence

Facilitating activities at our fitness studio, sensory room, basketball court, and community garden

Engaging in community-based outings and recreational activities

About You

You are compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting youth and families

You enjoy sports, fitness, or outdoor activities and can bring energy to your sessions

Experience in disability support, youth work, mentoring, or community services is desirable

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, First Aid & CPR required (or willingness to obtain)

We encourage male support workers to apply as many of our young participants have requested positive male role models.

Must be available some late afternoons and Saturday and/or Sundays

There is something fulfilling about watching people challenge themselves and accomplish goals. On the weekend, I had the pleasure of watching 4 of our community take to the race track and complete their first Deka Mile Mark all in the same wave 💪🏼.

They all rose to the challenge and pushed their limits. Watching them all break through the pain barriers and cross that finish line will remain in my memory bank as a special moment ❤️.

The same afternoon, I got to witness Chloe and Tim back it up and take on the Deka Strong as the powerhouse couple they are!

Working together, they got it done at a cracking pace, which saw them 2nd in their age group at the end of the day ❤️!

Doing things that challenge us mentally and physically is so important in this Life, it shows us what we are really capable of.

We are so proud of you all!

We’re so excited to introduce Beth, the newest member of our team! She has been with us over a month now and have only had fantastic feedback!

Beth is an optimistic, caring, and encouraging individual with over five years of experience in the health and fitness industry. She holds a Certificate IV in Fitness and brings a wealth of practical knowledge and positive energy into every session.
Currently studying to become a psychologist, Beth is deeply passionate about both physical and mental well-being. She finds genuine fulfillment in helping others achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life, always bringing compassion, encouragement, and insight to the people she supports.
Beth works across the gym, in-home support, and in the community, offering tailored, one-on-one support. She especially loves celebrating the small wins and helping clients push through challenges—always reminding them of how capable they truly are.

Outside of work and study, Beth is a nature enthusiast who thrives on adventure, and she’s often found with a good book in hand. Her creative spirit and warm approach make her a perfect fit for our community.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Beth on board—please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
