~What is homing? It is the instinct to return, to go to the place we remember. It is the ability to find, whether in the dark or daylight, one’s home place. We all know how to return home. While I’m still travelling, I’ve been reflecting on the instinct to return — the quiet, natural pull toward home. Homing is not only a movement through space, but a remembering — of where we belong, and what restores us. Just as birds and animals find their way back without a map, we too carry this inner compass. Whether we’ve travelled far or simply wandered within, yoga offers a way to return — to breath, to body, to presence, to the home that is always here.

Evening Sydney Meditation

I usually finish my day off with some kind of short meditation practice. Breath centred or mantra.

Of late I have been using the words “let it go” every time a thought, good or bad enters my mind and disrupts my practice. This is especially good when thoughts of concerns appear in the middle of the night to ease you back into slumber.

A thought arises….say to yourself, Let it Go…
And another….Let it Go…
And another….Let it Go..

Gratitude for one thing or more and always no matter how I’m feeling, with a small smile.
