R U OK?

Might just be a token day for some, but for a lot of us these three small words can really help someone open up and share how they are feeling.

Small you might think? However as we know bottling up emotions and feelings has been known to cause disease in our bodies and can take us to a dark place where we may not return.

There are support networks out there to assist and professionals to ring at the drop of a hat. However sometimes just your neighbour, friend, even a stranger in the street, just need to be asked this question. And in some instances it can be the difference between life and death.

We have all heard those stories of people who had intentions to leave this world, only to be offered kindness and conversation with a stranger, only to step back from the edge and choose life.

I encourage you, not just today but everyday, to check in with people around you. And if you feel you need to reach out, do it! There is always someone who is willing to listen. Even if it’s just a text or someone at the other end of the phone.

It’s your birth right to be happy xoxo

I’m back from a mini break and excited to be working on an artwork from a reading! I cannot wait to see how it evolves! 👩‍🎨 🎨
