Autism can sometimes feel like a boys club.

April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day - or as we like to call it, Autism Acceptance Day!! A day where globally, we hope to raise awareness and spread education about Autism. BUT it’s also a day met by big emotions, as well as very real and important messages from the Autistic community and their families.

Many individuals within the Autism Community are frustrated by the emphasis on 'awareness', and lack of focus on ACCEPTANCE, COMMUNITY, UNDERSTANDING or REAL ACTIVISM (beyond social media)!!

We are taking this opportunity to say thank you for all that Autistic people bring to our world, and we’ll be using the remainder of April to celebrate Autism Pride 🌈 ; EXPLORE issues/ideas relevant to the Autistic Community; LISTEN and share the voices of Autistic individuals; and C E L E B R A T E the wonders of nuerodiversity! 🧠 ✨ 🌎
