I’m proud to share that I have been appointed President Elect for the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA).

It’s an honour to take on this role within a professional community that is so dedicated to improving the lives of children and families across Australia.

I would also like to acknowledge and congratulate Niesha Illingworth, our newly appointed President, for her leadership and the positive impact she continues to make in the ABA community. I look forward to learning from her and working alongside the Board as we continue to strengthen and grow our field.

Meet Danielle Higgins – Clinical Director & one of Australia’s leading experts in Pediatric Behaviour Support

Danielle is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) with almost two decades of experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Her career has been devoted to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and developmental delay, delivering results-driven, compassionate care to families across Australia.

Holding a Master of Science in ABA, a Bachelor of Psychology, and advanced certification in PFA & SBT, Danielle combines academic excellence with practical experience across home, school, clinic, and community settings. She’s widely recognised for her ability to deliver effective, evidence-based strategies grounded in empathy.

As the founder of STARS Behaviour Services, Danielle leads with deep clinical insight and a genuine belief that every child can thrive when families are equipped with the right tools and support.

Exciting news! A brand new K–6 Aspect campus is coming to Port Macquarie 🎉 Opening in early 2026, this purpose-built school will support up to 48 students and expand on our existing presence in the region.

“We look forward to working with families, educators and the broader community as we bring this development to life,” said Craig McNee, Principal at Aspect Hunter School.
