Does your business have a plan in place for reducing or eliminating psychosocial risks?

SAFEWORK NSW released a Code of Practice in May, providing guidelines, management steps, as well as example scenarios to help guide businesses in developing plans.

_______ SEEKING SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS IN NSW _______

You are invited to participate in a research investigation I am conducting as part of my Work Health and Safety studies at the University of Wollongong.

The purpose of this research investigation is to explore small business employers perceptions and approach to implementing the new CODE OF PRACTICE. MANAGING PSYCHOSOCIAL HAZARDS AT WORK. Workers are likely to be exposed to a combination of psychosocial hazards, where some hazards may always be present and others only occasionally. As a business employer it is important you have the appropriate tools and knowledge to manage such hazards and risks.

If you are interested and feel this may be beneficial for yourself and your business, you can in touch with my contact details below;

As you know running a small business comes with lots of rewards and benefits.... but having such a big responsibility can also take it's toll on owners and managers.

It's easy for all of your attention and focus to go directly into benefiting the business, ie; marketing campaigns, payroll, customer service, project management.... but, it's essential for you to take care of physical and mental health.

Some early signs that you need to take better care of your mental health is;

~ struggling to concentrate on tasks
~ being unusually emotional
~ finding it hard to make decisions
~ getting angry or frustrated with people and work tasks

If you feel that this is you, please take the time to rest and focus on your mental health.
Your business will thank you for it ✨
