Dehydrated skin and dry skin are not the same thing.
Dry skin is a skin type and is linked to lower oil production. Dehydrated skin, however, is a condition. It happens when the skin lacks water, and it can affect any skin type, even oily or acne-prone skin.
If your skin feels tight, looks dull, or seems more reactive than usual, hydration may be the missing piece. The solution is not always heavier products. It is often about restoring water balance and supporting the skin barrier correctly.
