🌏 This Earth Day, we’re proud to share how Interchange Illawarra cares for the environment every day. Our purpose built centre in Church Street and was designed to high energy efficiency standards with solar panels, double glazed windows, high grade insulation, and energy efficient LED lighting to reduce our energy footprint.

We actively recycle rubbish, batteries and printer toner. Where possible we use recycled or repurposed materials for our craft sessions. We grow our own herbs for our cooking program, giving participants the chance to connect with nature, build skills, and enjoy sustainable living in action.

Together, we’re creating a greener and more inclusive future.

Big thanks to Illawarra QUOTA Inc.! We’re feeling incredibly grateful for the amazing generosity of Illawarra Quota. After helping us kick start our Church Street Participant Garden, they’ve gone above and beyond once again, donating an extra $1,000 from their recent pie drive!

This substantial contribution will help us grow even more herbs and vegies, with the purchase of new garden beds, seeds, equipment, and a wall trellis.

A huge thank you to everyone who ordered pies and cakes, and to the wonderful members of Illawarra Quota for their continued support.
