Over the last few years, I have become deeply involved with Tai Chi. It started as an activity to try to see if I might like it when I retired and quickly became something I love so much I attend several classes per week and love practising at home. I find it extremely beneficial as a nervous system restorative, and as a method to improve balance and muscle strength. For anyone with any inflammatory condition such as arthritis or fibromyalgia, it provides gentle movements that incite a flare but strengthens muscle groups over time. As a naturopath, I see so much value in it for others also.
In January I took the plunge and completed teacher training, and on May 13th will be (along with a dear friend Jen) offering Tai Chi for arthritis classes on Tuesday mornings from Balgownie Hall. If this interests, you lease head over the face book page Balgownie Tai Chi for more details.
For the client of mine that raved about Tai Chi to me in clinic many years ago and encouraged me to try it, THANKYOU!
For those of you wondering, no, I won't be giving up Naturopathy any time soon, it is something I continue to love.
