This week, I thought “what is one thing that I wish everyone in the world knew?”
I thought of many things and couldn’t narrow it down to one thing, so if you stay tuned over the next few weeks, you’ll be in the know of all the things that I wish everyone knew.
This week, the thing is this: I wish everyone knew that being diagnosed with an illness is not a life sentence and that no illness is random.
I wish that everyone knew that illness is just a sign that you have become so far out of alignment with your values, that you’re getting feedback from your body.
It’s a blessing in disguise.
What I’ve seen hundreds of times, is a person getting that diagnosis and feeling shocked.
They feel like their world has suddenly changed and that life will never be the same again. They are suddenly being given options which they feel they have no control over.
In that moment, they feel that life has changed forever.
But that autoimmune disease, that cancer, that inflammatory disease and that food intolerance did not appear overnight. It started years ago.
It started when you started to forget who you are and what you stand for, when you began sacrificing yourself for others and when you learnt that you had to blend in to fit in.
Physically, it started with trouble sleeping, bloating, indigestion, muscle cramps, low energy, sugar and salt cravings and the other things that you thought were no big deal. The things that you just learnt to live with and swept under the rug.
You dealt with these things by using alcohol, phone scrolling, drugs, netflix, shopping chocolate or anything else that gives you that quick hit of dopamine and now you’ve been hit with a shock “incurable” diagnosis and life has changed forever.
What I want you to know, is that once you become aligned with who you are once again, your body will no longer need to give you feedback in the form of symptoms.
But for now, that illness, those symptoms are really a blessing to you because the life of your dreams is just on the other side.
If you’d like to find the root cause of your symptoms, then send a DM and let’s get started.
