Community Gateway Community Gateway is an Aged Care and Disability Service Provider located in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Mid North Coast.

Our primary objective is to provide quality, accessible and empowering support to our service users. Other Objectives include:

- Individualised support and information is provided to enable service users to have informed choice.
- Service users have the right to self determination about support provided to achieve and maintain social independence.
- Service provision meets or exceeds all standards, guidelines and the professional ethics of the organisation.
- Valued partnerships with service users, representative groups and other stakeholders are built and maintained.
- Program outcomes are effective and meet all funding requirements.
- Advocacy is provided to access mainstream, government and community services and facilities. Locations

Laughter, connection and plenty of smiles! 😄🌸

Our Festival of Laughter for NSW Seniors Festival was a wonderful day at Community Gateway’s Kempsey Hub. We enjoyed laughter yoga, a comic interactive poetry performance, morning tea, and a BBQ lunch in the garden.

A big thank you to Kempsey Shire Council for making this event possible through their grant, as well as Taylors Arm Flower Farm for the beautiful flowers and Valley Garden Centre for sharing their lovely greenery. 🌿💐

What a wonderful day out for our Mid-North Coast Friday Allsorts group! 🌿

Last week, we visited the beautiful Coffs Harbour Regional Botanic Gardens, where amazing garden volunteers kindly drove our group around the grounds in buggies for a relaxing guided tour. The highlight of the day was spotting a friendly koala and even a red belly black snake along the way!

After exploring, we finished the outing with a delicious lunch at Leaf and Bean Café, nestled within the gardens ☕🍽️

Meet Sheree, one of our wonderful Community Support Workers 💜

No two days look the same for Sheree. From taking a client out shopping and enjoying a coffee and conversation at a local café, to assisting with domestic support at home, Sheree brings warmth and care to every service. Her goal is to make a positive contribution to each client’s day.

Outside of work, Sheree is a busy mum of three and is about to step into an exciting new role – becoming a nan this February! When she gets a moment to herself, you’ll find her unwinding with a massage, relaxing in the sauna, or heading out for a nature walk.

Meet Alison, one of our wonderful Community Support Workers 💜

Alison’s days are all about supporting and encouraging the people in her care – whether that’s helping with a shopping trip, supporting daily tasks at home, or simply being there to help clients and participants feel confident and empowered. She loves how varied her role is and finds it rewarding to help people work towards their goals and dreams.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys a good book or crocheting, and if she’s feeling active, you might just catch her out on a jog.
