Final results following surgery take time and are part of a gradual healing process.
In the early stages of recovery, it is common to experience swelling, bruising, and changes in appearance as the body begins to heal. During this time, tissues are still repairing, and scars are forming but not yet fully matured.
As healing progresses, swelling reduces and tissues begin to stabilise. Scars continue to develop over time and may take several months to soften and change in appearance. Dr Starr will recommend specific aftercare, including wound care and scar management.
Every patient’s healing journey is unique, and recovery timelines can vary depending on individual factors and the procedure performed.
