✨ Meet Maya Singer, our newest Mat Pilates Strength teacher at Gather Wellness Studio! ✨

Maya recently moved here from LA with her husband, a talented musician, and their two young kids, and she’s already made herself at home in our community.

After a lifetime of playing basketball, Maya found her true passion in Pilates, Barre, and functional fitness - and now she’s bringing all that energy and expertise to our studio.

Her classes are dynamic, challenging, and full of good vibes—all set to music that will make you want to move. Maya is all about inclusion, kindness, and helping everyone feel strong and supported, whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned mover.

To celebrate her arrival, Maya’s classes for the next two weeks are FREE! Booking online is essential, catch her for 45-minute sessions on Tuesdays at 6:15am and Thursdays at 9:15am.

Our Beginners Course Facilitator

With just one week to go until our 6 Week Beginners Yoga Course begins, we’d love to introduce you to the wonderful teacher who will be guiding the journey — Sasha Gibbs.

Sasha’s teaching is grounded in Viniyoga and Vinyasa, thoughtfully weaving together movement, breath, meditation and simple philosophy. Her approach is calm, clear and deeply inclusive.

With a background in trauma-aware yoga, Sasha creates a space where you can move at your own pace, ask questions freely, and build confidence step by step. She has a gift for making beginners feel comfortable, capable and truly welcome.

This course is designed especially for those new to yoga (or returning after time away). In a small group of just 12 students, you’ll learn strong foundations, alignment, breathing techniques and how to feel at ease in a class setting.

✨ Slow Flow Yoga Thursdays at 7:15am with Cass ✨

This thoughtfully paced class offers a balanced way to begin your day, combining gentle movement, breath awareness, and moments of stillness. It's an accessible and supportive practice, suitable for all levels of experience.

We've added this class in response to the strong demand for our Slow Flow offerings, with several sessions reaching capacity and waitlists this week.

We're happy to create more opportunities for you to practice and find space on the mat.

We're delighted to welcome Deb and Gwen's Yin Breath and Sound Journey to Gather as a monthly offering. A gentle invitation to relax, release, and renew.

These nourishing 90 minute sessions combine Yin Breathwork and a soothing sound bath to create a powerful reset for mind and body.

Rooted in the teachings of Leonard Orr, this soft, nose-based breath practice is done lying down and guided with care, supporting deep calm, insight, and emotional release.

Each journey flows from breath into an immersive sound experience with live instruments, vocals, and music, with optional Reiki and tuning forks.

Our 6-week Beginners Yoga Course is the perfect first step.

At Gather Wellness Studio, you’ll learn the foundations of yoga in a safe, supportive and inclusive space. Ideal for complete beginners, those returning after a break, or anyone wanting to revisit the basics and build confidence on the mat.

Led by Sasha Gibbs, whose gentle, beginner-friendly teaching blends movement, breath and simple philosophy. With training in yoga for trauma, anxiety and depression, Sasha creates a calm and welcoming environment for all students.

You’ll learn:
• Yoga foundations and class etiquette
• Use of props and beginner-friendly postures
• Simple breathwork and mind-body awareness

This is a breath-led, intelligently sequenced Vinyasa practice that moves at a steady, mindful pace, strong, energising, and spacious. Expect progressive flows, clear alignment cues, and time to fully breathe as you move. Dynamic without being rushed, grounding yet uplifting, the perfect way to start your Sunday and reset for the week ahead.

About Dawn
Teaching since 2015, Dawn’s Yang classes are dynamic and grounding, influenced by Ashtanga-Vinyasa and Jivamukti. She also teaches Yin & Zen Meditation at Gather on Tuesday evenings. With a background in journalism, skydiving, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (black belt), and Zen Buddhist practice, Dawn brings clarity, depth, and presence to her teaching.

The Buddha taught that much of our suffering is created. Zen meditation (zazen) helps us gently see this for ourselves, starting by coming to rest in stillness and silence.

What is Zen Meditation?
Zen meditation is a simple, grounded seated practice. Rather than trying to “empty the mind,” we sit just as we are aware of breath, body, and the present moment. Over time, this cultivates clarity, steadiness, and a deeper connection to everyday life.

This class offers:
• Gentle guidance into seated meditation
• Foundational breath awareness
• Seated options (chairs, cushions, or floor)
• A calm, supportive space for practice

All are welcome whether you’re brand new or have an established practice.

About the teacher:
