Our board approved supervising psychologist, Monika Gulabovska, has capacity to take on more 5+1 and 4+2 provisional psychologists to guide them through the intern process.

"My approach to supervision would suit psychologists with an interest in a collaborative style with a mix between exploration and skill development. For provisional psychologists, I aim to strike a balance between progress towards registration and developing competencies, alongside a flexible approach that acknowledges the many demands interns need to navigate."

"As a registered psychologist, I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to positive mental well-being, to build resilience and to overcome difficulties. There is profound satisfaction in seeing people develop a deeper understanding of themselves, discover their strengths and take constructive steps to achieve their goals.

I provide psychological support to adults 18 to 30 years old and believe in the inherent capacity of individuals for continual positive change and growth. My conviction is that people can evolve, learn, and adapt to unlock their full potential in order to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.

I also have a particular interest in working with and children 5 to 12 years old. Working with children makes each therapeutic interaction uniquely rewarding as it allows the incorporation of imaginative strategies, making therapy enriching and enjoyable. In my work with children, I actively involve parents and carers, fostering a holistic impact on the child's well-being through regular communication and collaborative goal-setting.

My areas of work include people presenting with anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, grief, loss, stress, panic, phobias and social anxiety. I also help with difficulties in relationships, communication and emotional regulation.

My ethnic background and life experience allow me to better understand issues faced by individuals from diverse sociocultural and linguistic backgrounds.

My therapeutic approach is non-judgemental and grounded on values of both empathy and respect. Cultivating a collaborative and trusting therapeutic rapport is crucial to ensure that the most suitable therapeutic modalities are applied to promote positive outcomes.

I use various evidence-based interventions including;

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Solution-Focused Therapy

Play/Art Therapy

Mindfulness

I also provide comprehensive psychological assessments for intellectual disability, learning disability, ADHD and Autism."
