What a moment!! 💥 😳 Gee whiz!!
Standing on the stage was equal parts surreal, exciting, terrifying and so so meaningful.
Certainly a career highlight, but even more than that, it was a chance to put an important idea into the spotlight, one we’ve believed in for a long time through both the research and our work at PhysioHealth Corrimal and CanConquer - Lymphatic & Cancer Rehab: that exercise is a powerful form of treatment, and it deserves to be seen differently.
My talk challenged the way we think about exercise, not just as movement, but truly as a medicine, especially in cancer care.
To share that stage alongside such an incredible group of inspiring speakers made the experience even more special!
This moment represented years of learning, questioning, building, believing, and seeing firsthand what’s possible when people are given the right support.
My hope is that this conversation around exercise oncology continues to grow: that we see exercise not as an optional extra, but as a meaningful and essential part of treatment, recovery and long-term health.
I’m so grateful to the TEDx platform hamilton from for the opportunity to have that platform.
And, so grateful to every person who listened, and to the people and purpose behind our work at PhysioHealth and CanConquer who inspire this message every day.
My team and patients. 🩵🩷
There’s plenty more to come yet, as our momentum builds day after day. 😊
