Upper airway collapse is a significant barrier to effective implementation of mechanical insufflation and exsufflation.

Currently collapse is primarily identified post treatment by assessing flow/volume curves, making titration slow and tedious.

Using real time ultrasound to assess the vocal cords will be a game changer to identify real time upper airway collapse to enable optimal, real time treatment optimisation.

Great to see the results of the Brensocatib bronchiectasis trial I have worked on over the last 3 years starting to come out! Thanks to all our patients who participated and all patients all around the world who gave up their time to be a part of this. Early results show:
- reduced exacerbation frequency
- reduced time to first exacerbation
- preservation of spirometry
- reduced severe exacerbations
- improved QOL scores
