Hello everyone,
I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some information on my new home business adventure.
I am very excited and even though this is still in the early planning stages, its something i have manifesting since my husband and i have moved into to our home in Wolumla about 3 to 4 years ago.
We could see all our intentions unfolding before our eyes and we new we where in the right place.
Up to now the experience has been very organic in nature for me as of last year.
I found myself being of service to people who where seeking better health through yoga, individual yoga therapy practices, and Ayurvedic practices.
With all the other hats i seem to wear, this had kept me quite busy, and feeling inspired.
Before i had moved to the Wolumla/Candelo area a few years ago, i had an Ayurvedic treatment room in Bulli, where i used to rent a space at a yoga studio, and always had my heart set on returning to that line of work full time.
So to continue my dreams and intentions, i have made a space / room at my home that i have made into a treatment room as well as a small Yoga studio.
I am now offering a range of Ayurvedic Beauty treatments and 1:1 Yoga sessions.
Beauty therapy has also been a big part of my life before yoga as i started this passion when i was 19 yrs old. It was only when i started my yoga journey and studies 10 to 12 years ago, that i truly started to learn about Ayurveda and its principles for a healthy life.
So what does Ayurveda mean?
Ayurveda is a medical system that originated in India, and is considered a type of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge).
Ayurveda is based on the idea that disease is caused by an imbalance in a person's consciousness. It aims to restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit.
You are already experiencing Ayurveda because of the yoga practices you may take part in weekly, or through a personal practice. Yoga is a large part of this healing system.
As a Ayurvedic beauty therapist and yoga practitioner, i am interested in using the Ayurvedic principles such as diet, breathing exercises, yoga, regular exercise, meditation and Ayurvedic beauty principles. These actions assist in improving body circulation, bringing relief to what is irritated, stimulating what is stagnant, bring the (Prana) vital life source to particular areas of the body that may have blockages, which may lead to dullness or sickness. I believe over a period of time this ancient healing system gives each individual an opportunity to learn about life and themselves, inspiring them with ancient wisdom that is still relevant today in our lives.
With my experience of studying overseas in India, where Ayurveda originated, with my yoga teacher in Chennai and at various Ayurvedic retreat / health hospitals in the south of India, it has inspired me to assist others that are ready and open to live their best life from nourishing themselves from the inside, and with daily rituals which leads to living a life of 100 percent potential.
I feel very blessed to have this little bit of knowledge, and being able to share and practice it with you.
‘Prickled Oasis’ is our property name, as we have a love for cactus. We have many planted around the place as well as other exotic plants, that were planted well and truly before our time and are established now.
Our gardens have a palm springs vibe.
I like to think of our place as a place to rest and retreat in its surrounding nature. We truly feel we have stumbled upon an oasis in Wolumla, and we plan to keep expanding on our oasis.
So what is Ayurvedic beauty?
Ayurvedic beauty refers to a holistic approach to skincare and beauty practices rooted in the ancient Indian system of Ayurveda, which emphasizes using natural, plant-based ingredients and rituals to achieve radiant skin and overall wellbeing. It does this by balancing the body's "doshas" (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) through proper diet, lifestyle, and topical applications, considering inner health as crucial to outward appearance; essentially, "beauty from within" is a key concept in Ayurvedic beauty.
I look forward to pampering you soon
