PARTNER YOGA
As Valentines Day is around the corner, 14th February ❤️, I wanted to share poses that can be done with another....
Partner Yoga, doesn't have to be done with an intimate partner, but a friend or family member. It's a fun way to learn yoga poses, share an activity with another person, connect, communicate and work together. It's a way to connect socially and relax with another person.
TADASANA SHARED
Benefits : deep breathing, opens chest,heart & lungs. Promotes good posture, & connections with your partner.
*Stand back to back
* Legs, hip width apart
*Feel balanced & grounded through your feet. Knees soft, lengthen spine & shoulders. Soften downwards.
*Palms touching, Breathe in and rise arms overhead and lengthen spine.
*Breathe out as you lower arms.
* Adjust for height differences, keep connection with partner.
PADA HASTASANA JOINING
Benefits: Stretches Hamstrings, extends, releases the spine, increases blood flow to the brain and circulation to upper body, relieves fatigue, develops coordination, focus,& balance and connection & communication with your partner.
* Stand Back to Back with your partner
* On exhalation, bend hips and drop forward so your back of your legs, buttocks are touching or almost ( depends on partners flexibility) Adjust and work together.
*When you find your balance, take hold of your arms/ hands.
*As you Breathe soften legs, feel the back fall forward, let your neck loosen.
* When you are in the pose, let your breaths flow together.
