Have you spotted the Smile Squad van on the road?

Smile Squad is a Victorian Government program that offers free dental care to all Victorian government school students. Our dental team are busy visiting schools to provide a free dental health examination and free follow-up treatment as needed. The Bass Coast Dental Team has visited 14 schools in the area so far.

Currently we are out at Bass Valley Primary School and our friendly staff are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Any child attending a Victorian Government school is eligible to attend our in-house clinic for a free appointment under the Smile Squad program.

If you or a loved one are unfortunate to have a stroke, you can receive more care, closer to your home.

This , did you know our stroke service includes more rehabilitation support for our patients at Armitage House at Wonthaggi Hospital?

Stroke patient Geoff Chain said, “It’s re-learning things that you’ve known for 50 years and have lost. If it wasn’t for the team here, I wouldn’t be where I am at the moment.”

🚧 DIG IT! We recently celebrated the start of major construction works on our new Staff Accommodation Facility!

🛏️ With a welcome boost in funding from the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, this new 20-unit facility behind Wonthaggi Hospital will provide secure, modern, on-site housing for our visiting clinical specialists, nursing and allied health staff.

👏 Celebrating with our own Project Team was our local Member for Bass, Jordan Crugnale MP and representatives from Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions and Regional Development Victoria.

👷‍♂️ We also welcomed our project partners, including IZZA Group, Capital Insight and BBP Architects, along with our supporters from Bass Coast Shire Council and The Alfred Health.

❤️💛🖤 Also a huge thank you to Robert Ogden for your wonderful Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.

We can’t wait to open this facility next year and attract even more amazing medical talent to our area. 🎉
