I used to question myself more than I ever questioned them.

How could someone lie so effortlessly… look me in the eyes and rewrite reality… hurt me and then somehow make me feel like I was the one causing the pain? I kept thinking if I explained myself better, loved harder, stayed calmer, forgave deeper… something would finally reach them.

But it never did.

What I didn’t understand back then was this: it wasn’t confusion. It wasn’t misunderstanding. It wasn’t even emotional immaturity.

It was a choice.

A conscious, repeated choice to manipulate, to avoid accountability, to shift blame, and to protect their image at the cost of my peace. And every time I tried to meet them with empathy, they met me with distortion. Every time I offered grace, they used it as permission.

The hardest truth I had to face wasn’t about them.

It was about me finally accepting what was right in front of me.

That love doesn’t heal someone who refuses to see themselves.
That patience doesn’t soften a heart that benefits from staying the same.
And that no amount of spiritual growth, prayer, or compassion can make someone treat you right if they simply don’t care.

I had to stop trying to figure them out… and start choosing myself.

Spiritually, that was my awakening.

Because protecting your energy is not selfish—it’s sacred. Walking away is not weakness—it’s alignment. And sometimes the most powerful form of healing is no longer allowing someone access to your soul.

I didn’t lose them.

I found me.

The Healing Power of a Mother’s Love

There is something deeply spiritual about becoming a mother. No one really tells you that a child doesn’t just enter your life — they enter your soul.

Children arrive in this world pure, innocent, and full of light. They love without conditions, without judgment, without fear. And in that pure love, something incredible happens… they begin to heal parts of us we didn’t even realize were still hurting.

Sometimes, the wounds from our own childhood live quietly inside us. They shape how we see ourselves and the world. But when a child wraps their tiny arms around you, looks at you like you are their whole universe, and says “I love you,” something begins to soften.

Their love reminds us that we are worthy.
Worthy of love.
Worthy of being valued.
Worthy of being seen.

Children have a way of re-parenting our hearts. Through them we learn patience, forgiveness, joy, and unconditional love. They show us the kind of love we may have always longed for — the kind that is simple, pure, and honest.

A mother may guide a child through life, but often it is the child who guides the mother back to herself.

In their laughter we rediscover joy.
In their innocence we rediscover hope.
In their love we rediscover healing.

It is almost as if children come into our lives not only to grow under our care, but to heal the generations before them.

They are little souls of light, reminding us that love is the most powerful medicine there is.

And sometimes, the smallest hands are the ones that heal the deepest wounds. ✨

There are seasons in life when the weight we carry feels almost unbearable. The kind of moments where you question your strength, your path, and sometimes even your faith. In those times, many of us hold on to the belief that God only gives us burdens He knows we can carry.

But this idea is often misunderstood. It doesn’t mean life will be easy. It doesn’t mean the pain won’t feel overwhelming. And it certainly doesn’t mean we won’t struggle.

What it truly reflects is something deeper: God never promises a life without suffering, but He does promise His presence, strength, and grace to help us endure it.

Every challenge we face—every heartbreak, setback, and season of hardship—can feel like a heavy burden. Yet within those burdens is also an invitation: to grow stronger, to lean on faith, and to trust that we are not meant to carry it alone.

Sometimes the strength comes through prayer.
Sometimes through the support of others.
Sometimes through quiet perseverance when all we can do is take one more step forward.

Faith reminds us that while the burden may be heavy, God walks beside us, providing the courage and resilience we need to keep going. And even when the road feels uncertain, there is always grace available to help us endure—and sometimes even find a way through.

If you’re in a difficult season right now, remember this:
Your struggles do not define your weakness—they reveal your strength.

What feels like a weight today may one day become the story of how you survived, how you grew, and how your faith carried you through.

So hold on. Keep walking. Keep believing.

The same God who allowed the challenge also provides the strength to rise above it. 🙏✨

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said " it's me."

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning
and say "good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.

Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me...
