What creams & oils do I use when you come in for a treatment? It’s good to know what’s going onto your body💁🏼‍♀️

I typically use arnica & magnesium creams in my treatments. This is because of their ability to aid in muscle recovery, pain relief, and skin health.

Arnica is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce bruising, swelling, and muscle or joint pain.
Magnesium supports muscle relaxation, reduces stress, improves skin hydration, and potentially reduces the effects of cramping.
Together, they create a soothing remedy for sore muscles, tension, and overall well-being.
Hence why I love using them on your muscles when you come to the clinic💪🏼

- Massage therapy promotes relaxation, improves circulation, and relieves muscle tension.
In a pregnancy massage we use special positioning to ensue comfort throughout your session. The aim of our session can often be to reduces swelling, ease back pain, relieve symptoms of sciatica & lower your stress levels. I’ve been keeping a little secret 🙊✨ Since August last year, I’ve been a certified Tibetan Sound Bowl Therapist—a practice that resonated with me from the moment I experienced it. While it’s different from my usual clinical offerings, I’ve found it to be a powerful and transformative healing modality.

For those curious about the benefits of sound therapy, I will be offering sessions on Sundays when the clinic is calm and peaceful (starting May 2025).

STRETCH & STRENGTH:
A lunge is a great exercise for strengthening your legs and improving your balance.

1. Starting Position
• Stand up straight with your feet hip-width apart.
• Keep your core engaged and shoulders back.

2. Step Forward
• Take a big step forward with one foot (about 2–3 feet).
• Ensure your foot lands flat and your knee is aligned with your ankle.

3. Lower Your Body
• Bend both knees to lower your body toward the ground.
• Your back knee should hover just above the floor (about an inch).
• Your front thigh should be parallel to the ground.

4. Push Back Up
• Press through your front heel to return to the starting position.
• Keep your movements controlled and avoid leaning forward.

5. Repeat
• Switch legs and repeat the movement.
• Perform 10–15 reps per leg for a complete set.

Tips for Proper Form:

✔ Keep your chest lifted and your back straight.
✔ Avoid your front knee going past your toes.
✔ Engage your core for better balance.

There are a number of hands on techniques & modalities your Myotherapist may use during your treatment.
I commonly use myofascial release, trigger point therapy & muscle energy techniques, accompanied by dry needling & cupping therapy.

The aim of these techniques & Myotherapy treatments in general is to reduce muscular pain or stiffness & improve the overall mobility & quality of life of an individual.

CAT & COW STRETCH:
~ Begin on your hands
and knees in table pose, with a neutral spine.
~ As you inhale, move into cow pose (arched back), lift your sit bones upward, press your chest forward and allow your belly to sink. Lift your head & relax your shoulders as you look straight ahead.
~ As you exhale, come into cat pose (as pictured). Rounding your spine outward, tucking in your tailbone, and drawing your p***c bone forward. Relax your head gentle looking down at the floor.
